We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. You pay an entrance fee then if you want an educational tour of a certain aircraft you pay £2.50 extra per person. Well worth the money for very informative tours.
Run by volunteers some who have previous military experience. The lovely volunteer who toured us on nimrod had 40yrs military service including service on the nimrod.
We went inside nimrod and vulcan both eye opening experiences. Well worth a visit.
There is also a little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.

Really loved our visit here. Lovely to see the Vulcan and be able to go in the cockpit! A must for any aeroplane enthusiast. Well worth a visit, lots of helpful volunteers to answer any questions and plenty to see.

Fabulous museum to spend a few hours at. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable and the café serves up great snacks and drinks.

What a find !
So much to see in an relatively small area.
Not often that you can actually touch the planes on display and this just adds to the experience.
A Vulcan and a Nimrod !! to name just 2. Both of which you can have tours of the insides.
So many interesting displays of models and bits of aircraft. And not just the usual Spitfire stuff etc...
Staff are great, accommodating and very knowledgeable.
A hidden gem :-)

Visited this place on a Saturday Morning and it was very easy to find via SatNav. On arrival plenty of parking and helpful staff to explain and guide through the museum. Tonnes of information, images, equipment and details regarding aviation and machinery with a great shop with lots of things to purchase. The staff are helpful and informative about the aircraft and plenty to see and do to last a few hours. There is a also a lovely Café with seating area with a good selection of snacks and warm and cold drinks. Would definitely revisit this place as there is a lot to see, some amazing aircraft and really helpful and friendly staff.

A truly lovely place. I've been past this place so many times with the intention of popping in, but never did. Until today! It is a lovely place, with genuinely friendly, happy and helpful staff. The actual items in the museum are amazing to look at, and the fact that you can book to go inside some of the aircraft, is superb. Thank you for a lovely day.

It's not a big place and there is not a lot of aircraft....but what they do have is absolutely epic. You can sit in the pilots seat in an Avro Vulcan for goodness sake! What a privilege and experience! Inside there are lots of interesting exhibits and artifacts as well as countless ww2 period scale model aircraft, which as a modeller myself peaked my inner nerd. There is also a little cafe and shop with good prices so please spend a few quid in there if you don't mind. Loved it!

Visited here for the first time today and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised, there was plenty of information about the planes and other memorabilia. For a small price my wife and I had a guided tour of the Nimrod to ourselves, the gentleman who was showing us around ( a chap named Ian) obviously had a lot of passion, pride and knowledge regarding the museum.
There was a nice variety of aircraft as not all of them were military, some of them are electrically and mechanically still in working order, but there were a couple that are mid restoration including a helicopter. There is also an onsite cafe that was reasonably priced with a good quality coffee ( there was a good amount of other options including food).
We will be going again (even though it is a 45 minute drive each way) and next time we will be looking at a tour of the Vulcan.
