I entered the Higher Holcombe Instagram competition to win two nights stay at the Hobbit house and I won. I was informed on the day by Joanna and we were in contact to secure the dates for us to stay. We picked a mid week stay as we both work a lot and easier to get time off. The hobbit house is in a lovely location surrounded by the orchard, it feels a million miles away from our busy normal lives, albeit being 40 minutes from home. We were greeted with a lovely welcome from Joanna, and left to get on with our stay. We ventured out to the volunteer inn, in the village and had a wonderful meal off of Joanna’s recommendation. It was so lovely to be in the quirky hobbit house. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the hobbit house for a Nice relaxing break away. Thank you so much for our stay.

What a unique venue!! We held our intimate wedding here in May 2021 after so many postponements.
The venue provides a relaxed, boho and rustic style with beautiful woodland surroundings for wonderful photos!
I spent the night before and the morning of my wedding at the fabulous and spacious farmhouse with my bridal party. Jo was so kind to leave Prosecco for us to enjoy and relax. We had our ceremony in a nearby church and we came back to the beautifully renovated farmhouse for food, drinks and celebrations with our guests. We had the best day ever!! And to top it off, the bride and groom have the option to stay in the quirky hobbit house.

I had the pleasure of hosting the South West UK, Wedding Supplier GROW Workshop & Networking at Higher Holcombe in their beautiful Old Dairy Venue Space. Even on a rainy December day, the Higher Holcombe landscape and grounds looked stunning, and the beautifully finished Old Dairy was the perfect space to welcome our wedding suppliers to take part in the days activities. The space had all new facilities, including toilets, a kitchen and bar area integral to the venue space, which made it perfect for bringing people together.
Jo was super helpful throughout the run up to the event, as well as on the day and cannot thank you enough for your efforts in making the event run smoothly!

When you meet Jo the things you notice are her humour, love of nature and free spirit and that is what is embodied within this idyllic venue. She and her team have created a very special wedding venue that is perfect for any couple who want a relaxed, friendly & unique experience. If you fancy spending your wedding night in a Hobbits House or marrying in the silver birch church it's all there!

Jo and her team are wonderful hosts and will take care of all your needs to make sure you have a perfect celebration. The Birch Church and the Willow Cathedral are lovely outdoor ceremony spaces and well worth a visit. Whether you are having a Celebrant-led Wedding Ceremony or a Registrar this lovely venue has you covered with a few different indoor/outdoor options for you to choose from. Higher Holcombe is an absolute must if you are looking for a natural, boho, rustic yet classy feel for your celebration.

Highly recommend this wonderful venue to everyone. It is so beautiful with so much to choose from. As a photographer here I was absolutely spoilt for choice. It’s a very unique and special venue. The team at higher Holcombe are also amazing, so very helpful and welcoming. You must go and see for it for yourself!

Higher Holcombe is such a wonderful wedding venue. Not only is is perfect for indoor and outdoor weddings in a rewilded wonderland created by the owners. The welcome you receive and the lengths they go to to make sure your day is absolutely brilliant for you is in another league. We cannot recommend these guys highly enough.
