The Boathouse Function Suite & Sunday Carvery

If you book here I strongly suggest you don't sit by the automatic door onto the veranda. Non stop people in and out door constantly opening and kids thinking Highley amusing to keep standing there constantly making the doors open. The restaurant should either not put a table there or have some control on the amount of people constantly In and out . And would be so much better if you did not use frozen vegetables

Had Sunday carvery today. It was lovely. The food was excellent. Service amazing. Can't wait to return. Highly reccomend 😁

Good for works do although dance floor alittle small, decorated lovely, food was ok but expensive but all had a good time and parking was fine on the main road.

Lovely Sunday lunch at the Boathouse Carvery today, beautifully tender meats, nice choice of veggies and oodles of gravy ! Beth reasonable cost for four. We enjoyed ourselves, thank you 👍🏼

We enjoyed a great new year's eve event here. The tables were well spaced and nicely decorated. The food was delicious and plentiful. Most of the staff were pleasant and polite. The DJ was extremely good, reading the room and playing music that suited the age range of the guests. Unfortunately the service was very slow and the welcome was very chaotic. We had to ask for canapés which had all but run out and were served directly into our hands rather than on a platter.

What a marvellous venue - great food (carvery is spectacular), perfect location with panoramic views of Park and Lake, attentive staff and very reasonable prices.

Only negative comment is poor access to the restaurant which is on an upper floor (2nd floor I think?) - No free parking near to the venue, No obvious direction sign to the restaurant (which is behind a very plain looking door), entry phone on door not answered quickly enough, once through the entry door no sign to the restaurant and can wander along a dead end corridor and enter store rooms, restaurant is on an upper floor accessed by steep narrow dark stairs - Needs a lift for the elderly and infirmed.

We've been numerous times for the Sunday carvery, which is always great.
Very pleasant and helpful staff and lovely food. Nice ambience and views over the park.

Have been here twice in the last 3 weeks for separate christmas parties and both times the food and venue were excellent. The staff are friendly and music great. We'll done Boathouse.
