Only open for general purposes on WEDNESDAYS (Also no walking routes in the grounds open apart from Wednesdays).

There is a sign on the gate but it didn’t mention the same on google maps at the time.

It’s best to check directly for other opening times for events.

The posh lady was polite when informing me of this.

It might be better to have an official opening times board on the main entrance from the road so we don’t have to go right up to the house to check.

Visited the gardens to view the snowdrops in season. The gardens were very well tended and the snowdrops plentiful and beautiful. Also an abundance of these lovely flowers in the woods. Thoroughly enjoyed our tranquil walk.

We had a lovely visit to this historic house. Enjoyed a chat with the owner.Worth a visit if you are staying at Thoresby Hall. The properties were owned by the same family in the past and the owner is happy to tell you all about this. Despite awful weather on our visit the winter garden was really beautiful. Gorgeous display of snowdrops and other early flowers.

A beautiful and well maintained garden that I'm sure looks superb through the seasons. The house is magnificent, but I'm pleased not to have the heating bills.

Beautiful setting for a wedding. Gorgeous grounds and lovely rooms so that there could be dancing in one, talking in another. A family home which is a privilege to use, and the oldest brick built building in Nottingham.
You can visit the grounds or garden only. Heartily recommend seeing the snowdrops in February and gardens at other times of the year.

Absolutely gorgeous building. Really lovely gardens and fantastic decor inside. We went for a wedding and thought it an ideal setting. Around 60 so on the smaller side but believe you can hire larger rooms for bigger weddings. Also very good service throughout the day. Canapes were served promptly and plentifully. During the meal the water jug was refilled regularly without any need for asking, and the table service was slick and professional. The food was delicious but am afraid I don't know which of the caterers it was (I believe there's a list of different ones) but we had cheese soufflé, Guinea fowl, and sticky toffee pudding, all of which was amazing (plus all of which is veggie/gluten free options and the like). Really nice garden at the entrance when we arrived, and a large garden to spread out into post food, plus two other rooms, one with a DJ and the other for lounging in. Really would recommend, although being a guest I couldn't comment on price...

I visited Holme PierrePont Hall in preparation for photographing a wedding later this month. Both the house and grounds are stunningly beautiful with many photographic opportunities to tell a wedding story.
