Myself and three friends spent almost 4 hours at the spread eagle today, 11.8.22. Lovely meeting place, dining areas spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff excellent, 3 staff dealt with our group over the afternoon. All approachable and attentive. Meals excellent. Would recommend this place for all age groups.

We had Sunday lunch here, a roast beef dinner, but I'm sorry to say it was very poor. The beef could have come out of a packet and I don't remember having courgette with a Sunday lunch. It's a shame because the location is stunning.

Our first visit and we will definitely return. This place ticks every box! Various walks that start at the front door, beautiful surroundings, food amazing and a good local beer, room was fabulous, dog made very welcome and the staff were a credit to individual inns. Thank you so much.

Had an amazing dinner here whilst on holiday. Very friendly and hospitable. The food was absolutely fantastic and they catered for allergy dietary requirements. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely country pub. Friendly staff, tasty food! Just what was needed on a chilly autumn night. And Teddy was spoiled rotten! Cottage pie for her & she gave it 5 🌟 too!! Will definitely be back very soon!

A lovely pub with very nice, traditional rooms with views overlooking the river. I’m only giving 3 stars due to the temperature of the room - the heating was on high all night making it difficult to sleep - and limited cooked vegetarian options at breakfast (it would be nice to see veggie sausages / a veggie full English on the menu).

All aspects of our visit were impressive. The pie of the day was memorable and quality of food , service and surroundings were top notch. This is an excellent country pub
