Avoid.
Cold food, missing items, most puddings not available.
Kids meal not edible ( over cooked or anaemic)
Manager advised to go to asda to buy the pudding ingredients!!

The crown of burgers is very good, but if I had anything negative to say is the wait time when it was very quiet was still a long wait for the food to come out, but still worth that wait as the food here is always good.

As a ceoliac (gluten free), the food option was shocking. The corn on the cob I got was cold. To be fair on them they replaced my pitiful weird cheese and vimto (yes vimto) chutney sandwich with a mildly better chicken and bacon. I was trying to be vegetarian. Whoever is responsible for, not just the poor gluten free effort, but also the vimto chutney should be banned from the food industry. I felt bad for the waitress who at least admitted she wouldn't eat what I'd been given either.

Food was very nice, value was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Only recommendation is that they should stock garlic mayonnaise as a dip 😂.

The food was appalling, it was barely hot, and the steaks that we were served in some of the meals were inedible as they were mainly composed fat, and the others were like boot leather. Burgers were tasteless and comprised of a patty, buns and a measly singular piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Macaroni cheese was made with extremely cheap cheese and was also inedible. Plastic cheese slices on all of the burgers too. Chips were cold when they came out and the ‘toasted’ panini’ had quite literally been shown to the grill and that was it. Disgusting for the price we paid.

Went into the bathrooms too, 3 of them seemingly out of order and locked, not a problem, but it becomes a problem when there is only toilet paper in one of the cubicles and the rest of it was either soaking wet, covered in mud, all over the floors and in the sink. When a member of staff was alerted by a member of the party they did nothing about it and left it in the state it was in.

Very disappointed. Expected more from a hungry horse as thought they were a reputable chain. Clearly not.

Will not return.

Haven't been to the Phantom Winger in years. Was very impressed with the menu choices, the quality of the food and the service. It's not the most atmospheric place as it's a big space but it's big enough to find somewhere relatively quiet to sit and enjoy your meal. It's got a Whacky Warehouse attached which looked as good as we remembered when we took our kids years ago. Will probably go back to take advantage of one of its weekly deals👍

Steak meal was very good but the fresh peas spoilt it. Tbh I think that they wasn't cook well and possibly microwaved.
Fish and chips was a very big meal. The fish was massive

My Wife and I just had Christmas Dinner at the Phantom Winger earlier today and to be honest it was a really nice experience. Staff were very friendly, food came out rather quickly and was cooked really well with decent portion sizes. The whole team did a great job and should be very proud. I would highly recommend paying them a visit if you're in the area.
