Large Green King pub with a social atmosphere and a couple of big screens. Outside tables as well in a sunny spot. Good range of beers and drinks including cocktails which are made to order. Wide pub grub menu with vegan and veggie options and good portion sizes. Keen prices with some good offers. Friendly staff and a place to meet and chat.
Still the same, busy place.

Very clean especially toilets. Warm friendly welcome. Great choice of wines and beers. Super menu at very reasonable prices. 5* service especially Andy. Food was good quality and well presented. Our first visit and not our last as we live not far away. Well done to the team.

4 of us came to the Sandpiper last night and what a disappointment! We and several others waited, I kid you not, 2 hours for our food! The worst part was no staff or managers ever came to apologize or try to put things right in fact they kept saying to everyone just give is 5 or 10 minutes, your next. I don't blame the staff, rather, the management- this is squarely on them. If you don't have enough cooks, close the kitchen, and be honest with people.

When our food did arrive, to add insult to injury, my burger patties were like leather!

One last thing, you have lots of outdoor seating but in all those areas its all smoking. You should earmark one of these areas during dining times as non-smoking.

Sorry y'all but I speak the truth, go for drinks, no issue there. But before you order food, get a written guarantee that your food order will be ready in 30 minutes or less.

Update; Oct 23- the owners to this review asked me to write to them, which I did, but as they have not responded.

This pub has recently undergone a refurbishment and it looks amazing. Really well laid out and has outside screen and smoking area. A separate outside eating area and ample inside space. Food was cooked to perfection. What did let it down was the wait, both at the bar to order drinks/food and the time it took for the food to arrive, however, food definitely made up for it; hats off to the chef.

New management has made this s superbly run establishment. Great food at great prices. Great quality. Comfortable, clean and great friendly staff. Now a regular place to visit.

This pub is very big and spacious and all the staff were very friendly and professional. The pub does look a bit tired but don't let that put you off. The 32oz steak share was very nice with a collection sauces. At £20 it was very reasonable.
If I had one complaint it took 20 mins to receive our drink. I would definitely recommend this pub to my friends and family.

We are a regular here and always get good food at a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere.
The staff are always friendly.

Good meal here, full plate, staff friendly, it was very busy Saturday lunchtime. Very reasonable price too.
