Squirrel 🐿 has amazing vibes.
The garden area is beautiful and absolutely modern.

Honestly, I just stopped there a couple minutes, but while I’m waiting, I ordered a Lobster & Seafood cocktail.
In my view this is the greatest way to start a big meal…

The size is enough and the rustic bread and butter is perfect for the “seafood salad”.

Just Try It!

Cute little place with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and great drinks. Food was on the ok side but loved the atmosphere.

Nice enough pub, albeit quiet for a summers afternoon.

Every time we fly someone to Farnborough I can't wait to walk down Reading Road and visit my favorite English Pub. Food is good with Vegetarian options and great beer selection. Friendly and fun. I love coming here.

Booked Sunday lunch for me, my wife, 8 year old daughter and elderly parents. Great food, great value and great service. Nothing too much trouble for Noah and Amelia, the servers. Noah even wrapped a bit of brownie my daughter couldn’t eat for us to take away.
This unpretentious but delicious place has fed and watered my family for years, never known it to be dead, great mix of families and ‘traditional drinkers and the pub is great with kids as long as they are gone by 8. Can’t fault it. Thanks guys.

Had an awesome time at the squirrel, food was excellent and we will definitely be back. Friendly atmosphere and the electric charging point was a bonus for us as it was one of the only working points in the area, we were able to enjoy the food and atmosphere at the same time as charging !

When you go into the squirrel and sit at a table, please be aware that this table may be reserved and not made abundantly clear that it is reserved. We made this apparent error because we are not mind readers and don't know the pubs table layouts or zones! The table next to us did indeed have a sign on the table, but not the table we were sat at. We were there for about an hour before we were told to vacate it as it was booked. I questioned that it wasn't clear as there was no sign. We were told that it was booked and we need to move! I questioned move to where? And was told the whole pub is booked out. I got the impression and attitude from the staff of tuff, it's booked. I guess I was looking for an acknowledgement that is wasn't clear and indeed an error on the pubs part and how can we resolve it - obviously too much to ask for it seems. I wouldn't mind normally, but we have been regulars there for about six years.......not anymore.
Customer care costs nothing, it's sadly lost in this pub.

The pub was busy and I did expect that as its the Christmas period and I really liked the interior the pub, made me feel very cosy. The staffs were lovely and did inform us that there will be 30 - 45 minutes delay as they were busy. My starters were great but the main course was of a poor quality. I ordered the fish and chips and it was not made very well. Both the fish and the chips were not drained well from the oil as they were quite greasy on my plate and bits of oil residue were left of the plate too ( I know they are fried in oil but I would have expected them to pat or drain the oil a little before plating it up). The chips didn't have that crisp outer shell that I was expecting and was quite soggy. The fish's batter was not crispy and very thick like a mushed up bread and very soggy too. The fish wasn't seasoned as well as I had to add salt and pepper to it continuously. I was very hungry but I couldn't finish it as the batter was too thick and I felt like I was eating the oil doughy batter rather than the fish itself. For £13 worth of fish and chips, I was expecting better.
