Just been here for Sunday lunch which was a good value helping and tasty. It's the incredible building and friendly staff that make the place, though - make sure you have a look upstairs at the bar that's still got the courtroom layout and go to the loos in the old jail area! What an amazing building!

Best bit of the meal was the glazed pineapple waffles - waffle itself was about average, but the pineapple and passion fruit coulis were SO good. The ice cream went well with it too. :)

Great place to eat or just have beer. Beautiful surroundings inside looks plush. Staff attentive and polite. And serve you at the table, so you don't have queue at the bar. I recommend this place. Give it a try. We'll visit again soon. I thank the staff for doing a great job.

We went on a Thursday night for a mates birthday. The atmosphere was a bit stail and not the best service. All the food came out at the same time apart from.my partner's vegetables. It's quite expensive for the quality of food to be honest.

Molly and her team were absolutely fantastic. I chose The Old Courthouse as I enjoyed a great experience there a few years ago, but times change. However, I knew we’d be in good hands from the moment I arrived.
Fantastic venue with amazing staff and irresistible food.
All I can say is thank you.
You made us feel exceptionally welcome and you took care of us in a truly exceptional way.
10/10!!!

Had a lovely meal with the family to celebrate my sister and dads birthdays. We had a room to ourselves so it was a great environment. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. However Melissa in particular, who served us, was amazing even though she’s only been working a few weeks! My grandparents love it every time they come for special occasions and we will definitely be back again!

Table for 8 in a private room on a Saturday night. Above average food. I had the steak sandwich which came with fries. A small tub of coleslaw or salad with it would have been lovely but it was just a sandwich and chips.
Very polite staff but perhaps a tad slow on taking orders and delivering drinks. Would definitely visit again

On tour with Plymouth Argyle with a stop over in the lovely town of Cheltenham. Fed up with scabby Wetherspoons we went upmarket and found this superb pub and magnificent building. Completely renovated 3 years ago it has such character and charm. The Aperol Spritz' were to die for and the waiters attentive and friendly. They have an extensive menu ( but not really to our tastes) and people of all ages were coming in to eat and take advantage of the hospitality. We were booked elsewhere so didn't eat this time....

Paid £44.90 for a shoulder of lamb and a pork roast (porchetta, 1 slice only) and the portions were so small that both my partner and I were hungry afterwards. The potatoes (only 3 per plate) were soggy and the lamb was just a big piece of bone with lots of fat attached to it. Nobody asked us how the food was. I complained about the meals with a waiter and it seemed he could not care less. Miserable experience.
