We visited here early afternoon. Our drinks were cold and a good size, the service was quick and friendly. Not a big place. The only minus was, we were enjoying our drinks in a quiet corner, when they turned on some raucous music (speakers right above us), which rather dampened the enjoyment. Otherwise a really nice place to visit.

I'm a local in The Golden Lion. For me it's a home from home. To that geezer left a negative review, while you were whiffing the toilet half a dozen of us "local yokels" gobbed in your drink. So how's them apples!

I worked there for £7 a hour they fiddle the tax man paying staff cash in hand and rip them off with wages. Do not work there please
