We ended up here, because on Tuesday Steak Night Weatherspoons had no steak!!! We were warmly served by the staff of The Ox Row Inn. Our choice of the Chef's Speciality 10oz pork chop, wasn't a disappointment. Add that they had Asahi beer on draught, resulted in us being very happy customers.

Great city pub with a good atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food and al fresco seating in the Guildhall Square.

Was visiting Salisbury yesterday and stopped here with the wife for some lunch. Food was much better than I expected from a pub, even one with a great view of the town square. I had the pork chop (which I recommend). Flame grilled, with triple cooked chips, onion rings (nice and fluffy, not too oily) and tomato. Came with a drink and very reasonably priced.

Nice but pricey food.

Lovely roast. Loads of it.

Since the pub is so busy, you get a feeling of franchise, even though I don't think the food is boil in the bag. Nice, but there's cheaper options - for us - further out of the city.

Nice place to come for a quick beer though.

From the outside it looks busy and a decent pub. Personal isn't unfriendly at best. We ordered two Hackney burgers because looking good with a long description on the menu card. What came was a little bit of fries and a burger with a stick through on a black plate. The first was cold and hardly baked so we send it back. The reaction was reluctant no questions asked. The new burger came a bit hotter but basically the same. We decided to eat it, instead of, again, to send it back and order something else. We paid the €28,50 and decided never to come back....
Do not order the Hackney burger!

We enjoyed the food the last time we came. This time not so much. The cottage pie really lacked in flavour. Nowhere near enough mashed potato for the price I felt a bit robbed and portions quite small. And the pear crumble was so dry. I complained about my meal but was just ignored. Think some of the waiting staff could be more attentive as well.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED this pub on 1st visit, returned today. Mulled wine on menu, asked politely for a sip, in case of over sweetness after barmaid couldn't verify if it was sweet. Flat NO was response, OK let's give it a go, weakest aperol spritz ever and MW was tepid, almost cold should have saved my £14.05 so very disappointed after travelling from London.

This pub beckons from the outside, it is warm and cosy on the inside, with a very traditional feel about it. We sat in a cosy corner in easy chairs with candles in the window and nice subtle lighting to enjoy our hot chocolate.
