Fabulous lunch time menu. Would recommend the steak baguettes.
Quite near the main road so there is noise if outside but the atmosphere and cosy nature of the building and seating area makes up for it. Staff are welcoming and service excellent. Lovely log fire in the winter. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

Finished here with a classic Sunday Roast which was one of the best I've had. Beautifully pink beef and great veg!! The antipasti starter was sublime!!! Well recommended 👌🏼

Excellent pub, we tried a few times to get in here for Sun was booked out! Finally got in and it was worth the wait. Fabulous staff, super helpful. Great food, even snuck in a dessert

Great food. Probably best steak sandwich I've had. They do Butcombe low alcohol IPA on tap which is an amazing addition and the first I've seen.

Cosy dog friendly pub. Real fire and excellent customer service. I had a delicious oat milk latte with a caramel shot. Their taster desserts are also fabulous.

I try to come here when I can for lunch. This place is great, a friendly face on arrival, staff that know your order. Excellent food, exceptional service.

Lovely pub especially in the winter, they have an amazing selection of food and drinks. Loved that they have the local wine on the list as well. Definitely going back when in the town again. We had a Burger with extra pull pork, and Coq au vin (one of my favourites meals this year).

Disappointed with the visit. The table wasn't really clean when we sat down - there were almond flakes left on it from a previous meal. I had a pear salad starter and the pear had not been cored properly so hard a hard centre - my friend's was fine. It tasted pleasant though. We all had turkey for the main course - the vegetables were more than "al dente" - they were really undercooked, including the potato. My partner ha d a pudding, which was ok, but not special. The staff were friendly and pleasant but we wouldn't bother going there again. It was expensive for the poor quality.
