I walked in this evening after having seen the sign from outside, directing me to the dining area, a place which I had previously been unaware they had, and enjoyed a lovely cajun chicken and chorizo pasta bake and 2 pints of Coke. When I stated that I didn't want garnish, I was immediately offered chips in it's place, to which I gratefully accepted and had a nice meal.

Shame on me, although local, we had not paid this pub a visit for years! What a pleasant surprise the two of us found. Sitting under a canopy, in warm sun shine, among fresh pots of flowers and shrubs, we were served by very friendly staff. The food was delicious - one of us will definitely be going back for another beef pie. My fav' was the desert, always the deserts! It is without doubt that we will be returning anytime soon.

A proper Suffolk pub, crammed with history. Great ales on tap. The best roast dinner I've had in a pub and the portions are huge.

This pub is a cheery local where you can order a pint and have a laugh without concern that you'll disturb the next table. Live music from local musicians and food the way your nanna makes it. Love it!

I had a pleasant experience here, the food was really tasty. I had the macaroni cheese with bacon & garlic bread which came out in a generous portion! Also the staff were friendly. The pub itself has a very nice & relaxing environment. I did mention I wanted no salad with the macaroni cheese but it came with salad (they did take off the salad for me) but overall it was a great experience!

I felt sorry for the staff, they are bar staff not waiting staff, no one seemed to know what we had ordered, obviously, most of the food was shop brought and not made in the pub. Food came out in waves, it took over 10 minutes for mains to be served and as we had pre-ordered before we got there, would expect the food to come out more quickly, dessert was no better, mine was the easiest to do and after everyone had there's I had to ask for mine! Do bother.

Went christmas Eve, but it was very busy, but expected, we were there to see the band playing which were brilliant as always. Staff were friendly and helpful

Lots of vegan options for a Suffolk pub, and was genuinely impressed by the ‘Jackfruit Wings’ that were offered with a fake sugarcane bone - I think this is standard fare for Greene King associated pubs. Unfortunately, we were served real chicken wings to begin with but after notifying the staff we were offered free drinks as we initially declined replacement food. I suspect this wasn’t the kitchens fault and rather a lack of attention when placing the order, which in my opinion, is more forgiving. Would probably come back given the lack of options at other pubs in the local area.
