Very disappointed overall.
Was made to wait 40 minutes before we even ordered our food and didn't really seem that apologetic either.
Ordered roast chicken which was actually butterfly chicken, but was nice, although 1 carrot, 1 sprig of cauliflower/brocoli and 3 packet frozen roast potatoes for £15 wasn't great!!
Good location although did get quite noisy in the small dining area and the table for 2 is way too small for plates and drinks and condiments etc.
Don't think we'll be revisiting, a real shame and disappointed.

Lovely Sunday lunch for a large group of us!
The food was good, a few things let it down tho!
Frozen Yorkshire puddings which is such a shame, half the group received starters then mains before the other half received starters.
No children's menu.
With improvement this could be 5 star as the staff we're lovely.

Had a great Sunday roast here today. Had booked a table checking if we could bring dogs! Dog friendly indeed and we added another person to our party which was accommodated with a welcome and the customer service throughout was excellent!

Leave room for the homemade deserts! Delicious 😋. Welbeck Brewery ales on draft along with a well stocked bar for other drinks.

Thank you to the hosts!

First time we have been in a while. It has recently reopened with new management (Sept/Oct 2022).
We went for a late Sunday lunch. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. I hope this management team can make it work here as the pub deserves some stability and consistent success.

My wife and I eat out a lot and decided to give it a try. Over the years it has been a bit iffy at times.
Now it is beautifully turned out with a great ambiance.
The staff showed exactly the right amount of friendliness and professionalism.
The food was excellent and well served.
Our only comment would be that for a just above average pub menu it was slightly overpriced. Very similar fare can be had locally at slightly less price.
Overall a lovely evening with well presented food.
We will revisit.

We stopped at the pub as a half way point for our walk from Drake Holes.
The pub has a great atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming. Our border collie was made to feel at home, and soon settled down for a sleep.
The bar food was good value for money, and great quality.
We'll be returning again soon.
Well done to the new owners, it's a great place! 🙂

Friendly staff nice decor. Unfortunarely that is where it ends for me. Menu good if you eat meat or fish. Only three choices if you don't, soup, stilton mushrooms, vegan burger. I went for the vegan burger and for the price of £14 I expected it to be home made coming with salad and chips. It was very well cooked Linda McCartney (or similar) burger, in a bun which had a smattering of mayo and a small square of lettuce and chips. So disappointed.

Awful. Room 1 has no proper windows. There was an overpowering air freshener that blocked my sinus. It was so bad that we opened the door onto the car park for half an hour during the night to try and get rid of the smell. There was an empty fridge that switched on and off during the night but the very poor hospitality tray contained UHT milk. The room was so small that the small double bed was pushed almost against the wall and there was no room for any chairs or chest of drawers. Underneath the bed and in other areas there was dust. The mattress had seen better days. The pub does not serve breakfast but it does not make it clear that the rate is room only. The evening meal was ok for one of us but inedible for the other. The fish on the fish and chips was overcooked but the worst thing was the taste of the oil that the meal had been cooked in. It says a lot when the best thing about a meal is the tinned mushy peas. I had to give one star to be able to comment but in reality it ought to be zero.
