The Moorcock Inn

Great, quiet country pub, well off the beaten track, with good home cooked steak pie. Visitors book dating back to the First World War days.... amazing to read a poem written off the cuff about days of trouble and hope.

Having completed 50% of a 24 mile walk we were hoping for some grub and a refreshment before getting on our way...sadly the pub was closed at 1315Hrs when we arrived. We did make use of seating area to enjoy on personal snacks but would have been nice to enjoy the local.....maybe next time.

An absolute delight.... Superb food and good company.

Well I think maybe it’s permanently closed 🤷🏼‍♀️ We made a special trip out, got there at 19:10….to find it closed. Just update your google maps listing and all this negativity will disappear 🫤

Disappointed that although the details show that the pub will be open on Thursday @7 it’s wasn’t.

Unfortunatly closed due to the thing : ( Absolutly beautifull little village on route to Dolby forest. Look out for the big hill on the right and the monastery just round the corner

Unfortunately was closed but looks idyllic from the outside. Quite a remote location so only possible by car.
