Although a lot of people will welcome the re-opening of the pub I think the menu choices are a bit limited. The food on offer is reported to be very good but why no pub classics. No pies, no sausages, no fish and chips etc. Also it would be a lot safer in the village is the pub opened a car park at the rear..

Very pricey pint of larger £6.50!! If it was under a fiver I'd buy 2 . Food, basic fish and chips £16.50!! And £10 for cheese and biscuits. With these prices people will be staying at home.

Great pub with a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff and customers (especially the dogs).
Excellent food and great value for money. The young waiter was exceptional, polite and very hard working.
We will definitely be returning.

My daughter took me to the Fox and Hounds Inn at Cattistock for lunch and to be honest I didn't think the pub could live up to its reputation, especially as I am a Coeliac. However, thankfully I was wrong because the meal was superb!

My daughter loves burgers and so it was no surprise when she ordered this and she wasn't disappointed.

I decided to go for the sirloin steak with chips and peas. I was told when ordering that I would have to forego the onion rings as they would not be gluten-free. I ordered my steak to be cooked medium rare.

It was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested, the chips were great (I think they were triple cooked), and amazingly enough I was given a portion of onion rings cooked in gluten-free batter. That was impressive!

I couldn't fault the meal and the pub really does have that quaint, Englishness about it.

My daughter and I would heartily recommend this inn.
