Food was okay
The gas wasn't working so half the menu was off.
Had to ask staff after the app was saying all the food was in stock but when you checked out it would cancel so it was just a guessing game of what was available

Food was good... Beer was cold... Atmosphere was chilled... Nice pub for a quiet afternoon snack.

Today is Tuesday, steak day at wetherspoons. its lunchtime and they've sold out of all steaks and mixed grills. What they do have is a fish and chips special for £3.99 . I decided to try this and I'm pleased I did. The staff I dealt with were very polite and friendly. I visit this wetherspoons every time I am in the area and I will continue to use it

It's ok but don't get your hopes up for what you want off the menu as they often don't have it. Nice staff though and handy for the trains and buses.

Went for breakfast with my brother and ordered the full English. I knew the bean portions are quite small generally so ordered 'extra' beans. Confirmed it with barman who said the extra is a gravy boat of beans. Brother ordered veggie breakfast. Food arrived and no extra beans. Same portion size as the veggie. I said to the server I ordered extra and she said they already put it on the plate. She went away to confirm and came back and said they had. Obvious lie. I said the barman said it would be a gravy boat,so she just stopped me and said "do you want me to get you some more?" well yes?! So she came back with small dish with literally a table spoon of beans!! They were luke warm and when I started to eat the mushroom was stone cold. I hate arguments, just get it right the first time, felt like it was a take it or leave it. I just wanted a nice hot fry up, hassle free! .. don't bother going here, just go next door to Express cafe.

My Partner and I have just had lunch here .We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive ,I ordered the boneless basket chicken with chips , it was really very nice , the chips was very tasty with a nice crispy coating and the chicken was perfectly cooked ,it was served with a barbecue sauce and coleslaw .My partner had the ultimate burger with chips and he said it was also very tasty .AND OUR MEALS WERE SERVED ON HOT PLATES . The pub was quite busy too but our food came out within 15 mins from the time we ordered . There are some new meals on the menu too ,mine being one of them .The portion sizes were very good too not huge to encourage food waste .
We have been here before but not for several years and have never been disappointed and we will definitely go back .

Amazing restaurant in a very interesting location - old train station. Its polite staff provide very fast service. Prices are reasonable while food is really good quality, ideally hot and always well presented on a plate. I also love their long opening hours! Really recommend this place!

Fancied a good wholesome meal - meat & 2 vegs, as they say!!!

Meat & Gravy - lovely flavour..... but!!!
Smashed Potatoes NOT warmed through at ALL... room temp - then hidden under the meat was 2 x tiny winy carrots and what was supposed to be parsnip... 3 x 1.5cm square thin bits ..
💥Deary meeeeeeeee.... COME ON.... the price of veg ATM💥 ..... Boil in bag rubbish!!! & Cold Potatoe!!!!
