The Ship Inn

Really good meal at the Ship Inn, nice decor and environment, good service and really good food, well presented. The Lamb belly with champ and a lovely jus was excellent, as was the chicken thighs with crushed jersey royals, asparagus, Parmesan crisp and a lovely wild garlic butter. Creative and great value. Good Canterbury ale and a nice bottle of Spanish white added to the overall experience- really well done

Relaxing 2 night stay, friendly staff and great breakfast. Helen (housekeeper) was exceptional at her job and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Went for a big family meal while visiting the area. I'd say the food was good for restaurant standards but very good for pub standards. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly. Small parking area out the back as well.

We went on Fish night, food was fab just cheese board poor choice of cheeses.
Disappointed with seating and felt we could have been sat without feeling squashed in !

We had lunch, and the service was excellent and efficient. I had the fish and chips, which was extremely well cooked, and I would recommend

Pigeon and white bait for starters which was cooked to perfection then had a steak suet pudding for main , topped off with a tasty chocolate mousse
Never ever had a bad meal here

Just had lunch here, it was extremely busy as usual for the time and they still managed to sit me and my friend down in a few minutes. I had the game pie which was UNREAL. You could see the staff were rushed around and they still managed service with a smile to a table next to us making rude comments about the wait for food.
