We ate and drank here after hiking Snowdon and thought it was a solid pub. The selection of beers is modest, but just what we needed after a long day. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and food was served fairly quickly. We had fish and chips, and were very happy with the portion size and quality of fish. Our only issue was the batter was a little too thick and soft. Regardless, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a hearty meal and drink after a long walk!

Booked for dinner on a Friday night. Service was friendly, food was tasty, portions were generous and reasonably priced. It's popular for dinner because of all of the above, so best to book a table in advance.

Visiting at local Campsite and came across this place for a drink. Well, once we tried it, it was our go to place. Food was scrumptious. Hearty warming delicious good size portion food. Staff very friendly. Got to know some of the locals too! Shows sport on tv too if that's your thing. Dog friendly as well. Good prices.

Very called in for drinks a few times. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a meal there and I would recommend it to anybody. Fab menu, very difficult to choose. Meal was superb. Lots of people did eat there. Would go back.

I spent three nights at Y Gwynedd with two friends when we had to make a last minute change of accomodation in Llanberis. The manager was very welcoming, friendly and attentive, and managed to find us a family room. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect for resting after exploring the surrounding mountains.

Y Gwynedd was a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely stay there again when visiting Llanberis!

Easily the best bar in town with great staff and wholesome pub grub food. Plus it's dog friendly so it was our go to bar after a long days walking to chill out.

On the high street in the Welsh capital of hiking sits this unassuming and absolute gem of a pub. We got the ferry over from Dublin to take on Snowden and stopped here after sever recommendations from the locals. The pub grub was delicious as was the Guinness. The staff and owner were absolutely delightful and because the day was sunny we sat out front with a lovely view of the mountains. Don’t be drawn to any of the tourist attractions for your pre/post hike feed …. Once you hit this institution of Llanberis, you are home.
