Just had lunch here. Excellent food and customer service. Tastiest meal I've had in some time. Lots of outdoor benches and tables at the rear of the pub so no worries if you have little ones or dogs. Small car park at the rear of the pub but very narrow entryway so be careful.

Superb. Only stayed one night for a gig close by. Lovely staff, room was spotless, very comfortable and tastefully appointed. Not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The breakfast was exemplary. Freshly cooked to order with locally sourced produce. We only live 30mins away but will definitely return for an evening away and change of scenery for a night.
Great selection of beers on tap and and a great range of gins. Huge beer garden with some lovely touches and views of the surrounding hills.
Didn't get to eat during the evening due to the timing of the gig, but we'll be back and eat in the restaurant during the evening on the strength of the breakfast.
Book it. You won't regret it. 😎

Right in heart of Crickhowell. Entrance to carpark exceedingly narrow! Don't attempt if nervy. Lovely beer garden. Some rooms are up steep steps and very small rooms with sloping ceilings and beds! I had to swap ends to get to sleep.

This is the place to stay in crickhowell, the rooms are lovely, clean and have everything you need, the food is amazing, the lamb is a must and the staff are friendly and efficient even when busy in the evening. The breakfast is lovely to, the traditional cooked breakfast kept us both going all day.

Not what is used to be.

Over the years we have both stayed and eaten in the Dragon many times. But sadly things have declined.

On arrival in the bar the member of staff was pouring drinks, we stood for some minutes before being acknowledged by her in a slightly off-hand manner, not a great start. The younger members of staff were on the whole much friendlier.

We had booked a table of 6 for Sunday lunch - they offer a choice of either welsh beef or welsh lamb. The lamb and beef were excellent, but service was almost non-existent, and it took ages for food to arrive and when it did there was a long wait for all of us to be served (6 people). They had also run out of IPA, we had to chase to get another drinks order, we then ordered several bottles of wine and eventually had to get them ourselves as by this time we were almost finishing our main courses. Lasagna was stodgy a lot of pasta and not of lot of sauce and a lot of grated cheese on top. The food and food choices were definitely not as good as in previous years.

Good quality produce. Friendly staff. Could not find food anywhere at 3/3.30 pm! Enjoyed the food and the place was decorated too!
Taking off the 1 star for the price. Just thought it was a tiny bit expensive. It's dog friendly too! Didn't stay there so can't rate the rooms. Enjoyed the experience :)

My family visited Christmas Eve lunch time, table sticky, room chilly no atmosphere, as its Christmas one would like candles in the holders but told they were being charged up. Staff not particularly full of feative cheer, food average service poor!
