Great informal dining in a lovely setting. Very decent portion sizes and delicious food. My husband had the seafood chowder which was really tasty and I had the salmon fillet, which was cooked to perfection and flaked apart. There is a deli onsite too although we didn't take a look. We had our dog with us who was also made to feel extremely welcome. The team serving us were so friendly and warm, it was really busy and 26 degrees outside but they always had a smile on their faces and couldn't do enough for you.

What a lovely place. Food was top quality, the Mediterranean chicken was sublime. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The little deli in the pub was a treat too. Would highly recommend.

My missus loves the fish and chips here. Their food is great, but l wouldn't go for another chicken nuggets for 6.95. Its worth paying a bit more for their fantastic food. But then l am no food expert!

Great location,Lovely pub, dog and people friendly, good select if real ales and wines. But it’s crowning glory is the food the menu is biased towards fish and when you can cook it like that, why wouldn’t you! I had the posh fish and chips, which I was told was sole, I was worried the batter might over power it. I needn’t have worried, it was perfect! 5*

Lovely decor and friendly staff. For starters we had trio of seafood & smoked haddock risotto, the risotto was like a main meal and delicious. For mains we both had the pork loin, but did find it very
fatty. Dessert chocolate extravaganza which was also delicious

Mediocre food at best. The monkfish didn’t taste anywhere near fresh and chips must have come out of a packet. Grumpy lady behind the bar too. Asked for a different seat- she said none was available- when I took a look, most of of the far side of the restaurant was completely empty. The waitress was pleasant but she was certainly rushing me. The staff clearly run it for their own ends- the customer comes second here! Nice pint tho so being generous with 2 stars.

I'm often wary of pubs that have become more gourmet than pub. My experiences have been hit and miss, in the past, with some being overpriced and underperforming. The Coach and Horses is neither. Yes, some of the food is in the mid-twenty pound area (some in the mid-teens), but the quality of the Turbans of Dover soul 'special' we chose was outstanding. Inside each turban of fish was a scallop and king prawn and all perfectly cooked. It was truly delicious. Served with samphire and new potatoes, I also chose a tomato, mozzarella and pesto starter as a side dish - none of my fellow diners wanted a starter, but to my delight, this complimented the main perfectly, in my very humble opinion.

Predominantly seafood and fish, the menu also had good choices for those not so keen on the fruits of the sea.

Well kept real ale on the bar made the whole evening first class!

My wife and I eat here quite often, last visit the food was up to its usual very high quality. The downside was the new parking regime. I read the sign as far as "patrons free" ,but not as far as registering the car. We have used a few pubs that use this increasingly common practice, but in those premises there is clear signage inside , and always staff informing you of this necessity . We were shown straight to our seat's, and had a lovely meal. No mention of registering our car. Result £60 parking fine, £100 after 2 weeks. After providing the company with our receipt showing we were in the pub eating at that time, this was not good enough. End result £20 parking fee. Very disappointed, as stubborn pensioners it will be a long time before we visit again. Plenty of other choices in this beautiful area
