Called in here to watch autumn international had a good welcome from all the staff. The pub is divided into a bar area and a lounge we were in the lounge which had a large projector type screen which was not to bad once the lighting was dimmed. Half time the staff brought out a lovely cold buffet which everyone enjoyed. Have called here a few times and will call again

I've stayed twice in the 'lodges' at the rear of the pub. They are very comfortable and offer self catering, with free wifi and television in all rooms. There is an Aldi just around the corner for last minute food stock up with a range of fresh veg and fruit etc.
But the town centre is literally a few minutes away with a range of restaurants and bars for all tastes, from Gurkha to Wetherspoons!
The Gremlin welcome is friendly and as genuine as is the pub, you're made at home immediately.
Space for a few cars outside the Lodges which is really convenient.
A great place at a very good price.

Very helpful and friendly host. Super comfy cottage with everything we needed, tucked away behind the hubbub in a courtyard setting, so peaceful and central. Perfect, hope to return.

Nipped in for a quick swifty after a wander around the town. Barman was really friendly, music was good. Dog friendly. Good outdoor area. Will revisit when busier, was only passing by. So will update review on next visit. Prices for drinks were cheap too. Not to forget. We ordered a pizza to take out. It was the freshest pizza we have had in a while. Would definitely recommend.

We had used this pub before while passing through Brecon. We were told no food without an explanation and then when we asked for a drink we were told no drinks as they had a funeral. Why not just say that as soon as we arrived. Very poor communication. We won’t visit here again.

We stayed in cottage number 1 on 14th May. Booked in for two nights.
We had booked online but we telephoned to ask a few questions and were told to cancel online booking and pay on arrival. We paid cash at the bar. No details taken about ourselves.
The cottage was very nice and comfortable. Had essential, fridge, kettle, toaster, tv . Complimentary bread, milk, coffee, cereal etc.
Comfortable twin beds and bath with overhead shower. HOWEVER ,Parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE.
We had to leave very early (7am) on the morning of the 15th ( family emergency) . We couldn't get hold of any management. Our car was blocked in by other cars. We had to ask two men to help us move some of the pubs garden furniture to enable us to squeeze the car past.
I eventually got hold of the Manager once I got home .
