Open each weekend from 1-5pm to see the cats available for adoption.
Lots and lots of gorgeous well cared for cats.
Donations gratefully received and they are always keen to take on volunteers and foster carers 🐈

Possibly the best cat rescue centre in the world. But then I am biased as they brought Mr Jeffrey Bear into my life. Rescued from a terrible life as a stray Tom, which included having boiling water thrown at him by some awful person.
Celia Hammond trust took him in neutered him, fed him up and fully checked me and my home out before trusting me with him. They also did a follow-up check and then the dental procedures that were needed at no extra cost.
if you need a cat and want to be sure that they've been properly checked out any health issues, I cannot recommend Celia Hammond enough.

Such a good experience at CHAT! The process was very quick yet personable and thorough. Everyone we’ve been in contact with has been so lovely and helpful! We are now proud owners of our little Elvis, a gorgeous, cuddly and playful boy who found his spot on the couch and in our hearts very quickly! Thanks to the whole team for making this happen 🥰

I'm really grateful to Celia Hammond for taking in a kitten that had been hanging around my garden for a week or so. I did the usual things like asking on Facebook, putting a paper collar on with my phone number and asked around but know one seemed to know where it came from. I have 2 cats, so couldn't keep it and someone suggested Celia Hammond. They were so helpful and I knew the kitten would be safe with them. They are such a worthwhile organisation. Thank you so much.

Recently spoke to a lady at lewisham over the phone who was very condescending, unhelpful and rude! I was asked explicitly if I was on benefits and told they are a charity and I should look elsewhere for getting my cat vaccinated.

However as stated on their website "Our low cost veterinary services are available to pets belonging to owners WHO CANNOT AFFORD private veterinary fees. This includes owners on benefits, a low income, working part time, students and pensioners. We do not stipulate specific benefits that you must receive or a maximum income level beyond which you cannot use our services. Your pet's health and welfare are our priority" ...

She then proceeded to give me unsolicited advice and berate me on how I should take care of my cat.

I was never met with this kind of reception previously, from any other member of staff I have spoken to in the past, they were all very assuring and kind. It is undeniable Celia Hammond is a great charity but they should really consider getting a new receptionist and someone who knows how to speak to people.

Caring and loving staff. Excellent care for my cat ginger (now passed away) and George whose life they saved when he was but a kitten (he is now nine (9) years and still a fairly healthy beautiful cat.

We got our lovely cat Tinks, 3 months ago. Celia Hammond were great, particularly Ruth, Naomi and James, as well as the vets that have treated her since. Please adopt a cat from here, the black ones often get overlooked!
