Great clinic and very thoughtful staff.
They were so helpful when our cat was stolen and then dumped because she was ill and they called me up and told me what happened and I knew who that person was immediately! Thank you for rescuing my cat Jessie she's been gone a while now but always in our hearts 💕 and love this clinic for everything they do.

It's a great place to take your pet (mainly cats) if your on a budget. Most of the staff are very friendly and nice. I didn't rate it 5 stars because when you need to call this place to make an appointment for your pet, they either won't answer or put you on a call for 1 hour and then randomly end the call when your the next person that they were going to speak to, but when you go to the place, they're always on the phone.

I cannot give enough praise to Celia Hammond.
I bring my cats here and have had other cats registered to the Lewisham branch also.

The staff care so much for all the animals and give fantastic care to all they see, even though they are so overwhelmed at the moment.

It can take a while to get through the phone, but considering the amount of animals they look after, its completely understandable. I would advise making sure you are aware that you may be on hold a while.

If I could give 0 stars even that wouldn't be a good enough rating. Called today to beg for help after my cat was dying in my arms. To be basically turned away. They was open and was also told we don't have an emergency vet. Funny enough call out of hours to get the emergency vet number. What sort of charity turns away a dying and in pain cat which could be heard down the phone? If I could put into words my anger right now. I don't even think it would come close. I'm trying to remain calm on a public forum. But I won't be the first or last to experience such horrific treatment.

I reviewed CHAT Canningtown branch 2 years ago on here, when my senior staffy broke his right leg cruciate and needed TPLO at 13yrs old..after I did the original review his left rear leg cruciate went 6 months later so another TPLO done by Manuel CRISTADORO who throughout this past 2 n half years has been wonderful ..he genuinely cares as a vet, as a surgeon and due to his skills my lovely old dog pulled through 2 major leg surgeries (TPLO) twice in 2020 and proceeded during 2021 to run around like a much younger dog. It was so wonderful to see and so worth the thousands of pounds both surgeries cost me that year there (surgery that cost approx 5 grand for 1 xTPLO at private vet are pretty much half that price at CHAT but we had to do it twice lol) . Since February 2020 Manuel had seen my dog for pretty much every follow up we did and the receptionists always made time to reply to my emails..medication posted to me as I live miles away from clinic. Mollie in my opinion goes above and beyond ..shes absolutely lovely and so caring as are the other receptionists and vet staff too, but Mollie is exceptionals, so very caring and understanding.

Sadly end May 2022 Manuel felt a lump in my dogs abdomen and straightaway arranged with his colleague Paulina to do scans etc when she could fit us in..fortunately we only waited a couple of weeks and after scans n bloods etc showed a movable mass size of a large orange she then went onto do a punch biopsy, it had grown further in 2weeks..Paulina was caring and explained everything in full..as my dog was now nearly 14 n half years old it was decided mutually he would go on home palliative care until any sign of deterioration ..i knew he had about 2months left but sadly about 2 weeks later we realised during a check up that morning that he had about a week left so I decided there and then to let him pass over ..I would not ever let my beautiful boy suffer. I loved him too much to keep him alive when I knew his time to gain his wings was so close, so I chose to let him pass..as Manuel was on holiday Paulina took on the very sad task of putting my boy to sleep July 14th 2022 and she was so gentle and kind and did everything in front of me, as i hugged him in my arms the whole time.it was the most calm, peaceful, fast going to sleep iv ever seen in my life, Paulina cried herself (vets do cry) and I howled like a baby with my boy wrapped in a beautiful blue blanket they had given me to lay him in.. they left us be for ages to sit and cry and grieve with him in their clinic room and Debbie popped in from reception to pass on condolences, Mollie wonderful as ever stayed with me for a while calming me down as I was so very distraught..she took paw prints on paper for me and was simply there for me until i felt ready to leave with my boy to go on his final journey to our local crematorium. Manuel kindly emailed me back once he heard the sad news.

They really do care there and I know they are so rushed off their feet and short staffed on vets but still they keep going despite their such low costs and full patient lists.. I fully recommend them 100% and am so grateful that Mollie took my phone call that Thursday morning in Feb 2020 and Manuel saw us that same day and I got to keep my beautiful boy for over 2 more years because of Manuel and the clinic and that Paulina made his passing so peaceful and painless for him that day.

Photo of my boy from puppy in a garden pot lol (he loved the garden) to sleeping forever in blue.
Thank you all at Celia Hammond so much from my heart and in his memory, bless you all x

Excellent service. Very caring staff. Our kitten Dalhia has had her both vaccines here. I was a bit emotional about her being spayed but the lovely people at Celia Hammond did an amazing job with her with a very small incision and neat stitches. She had even been microchipped and clipped. Really happy with the service and level of care. Well done! Keep up the great work!

Great charity that’s been helping animals and their owners for many years. They’ve helped me on numerous occasions and I could not be more grateful. They never said no to a cat in need when I brought them in, all the animals have always been taken care of and neutered. The team have always been super nice and helpful and that’s without a doubt one of the busiest veterinary clinics in London. They take all the hopeless and difficult cases no one else wants to even look at and they do their best to help. Amazing charity!

The vet is always very thoughtful and compassionate with my furry friend (dear Tosky).
Services are reasonably priced and can rest assured that he is on good hands :)
