Halfords - Sunbury-on-Thames

Not going to be using these cowboys again. Wanted to cancel an order and having to wait 4 weeks for a refund is not acceptable. Customer services are about a useful as a chocolate teapot and just tell lies to make you go away, staff in store are not trained to help with issues and everyone just passing the blame. Wasted so much time trying to get resolved but left with no choice but to have to go through bank to get money back as halfords cant find my money or process a refund as my money is in the cloud, even when ive been told it has been processed. Absolute shambes!

Tilt guy- so cool and his Customer Service was really Awesome. He Know his stuff and location of product in their shop, Very help full.

I ordered three new windscreen wipers and a set of hub caps on Sunday night and early Monday morning received a text to say the order was ready. I collected it at about 10.30 - there is free (for an hour) easy parking and once I gave my order number to the helpful man on the till it took him under two minutes to get it, pass it over and tell me my receipt would be e-mailed to me. Very happy, 5 star service. Thank you.

Bike not ready for collection at booked appointed time
Customer service (lack of it) were contacted 3 times
First to check bike was ready for collection . They were unable to contact store
Second and third time to complain but am still waiting for them to contact me as promised
Really not impressed with their service
Advise buy local from a small retailer as I’m going to do next time

Took my daughters bike to Halfords Sunbury with a snapped chain. The guy I spoke to said no bike technician were working today but he pointed me to the right part and said it was an easy job. I then took the part to Staines Halfords to be told that someone could have quite easily helped me repair it but didn’t want to. Also got told at Sunbury that I could have done it myself without any tools. Staines Halfords said I need a special chain tool to be able to do it.

Wrong opening times listed….that’s if they even open!

Halfords website (and Google) states this store opens at 8am, but it doesn’t it opens at 9am. However, on certain days (19.01.23 for example) the store doesn’t open until 11:30am “due to staff shortages”.

Waited an hour for a pre-booked battery replacement. Staff did not show up and manager then said battery could only be replaced by a garage (despite being standard mini one model accepted on the web booking system).

Today, myself and my sister we bought lovely bike here in Halford. Mr. Hendrix was very knowledgeable, helpful and enlighten me the right bike to buy. Today's service was great. Well done and keep it up!
