It is a good place to get your banking needs done, there is staff on floor. 'So if you need help there is always some one there, "there is cash machines in side so if you need cash or need to check your balance it is there for your needs, the only thing I would add, if you are there to get some cash, then put your cash away before you enter into the busy Street.

Horrible treatment. I was spiked on Friday on a night out and lost absolutely everything, a phone, a purse, cash, cards, ID, medication, bag, etc. I had recently moved back from Newcastle and went in to the branch today to change my address. I came with a huge bundle of letters and proof of my identity, and also ensured that I could log in to my online banking if needs be. It was obvious that I was absolutely desperate, I needed to change my address so that I could order a card and they refused even though it was completely obvious who I was. They gave me false hope by sticking me in a room with a phone and ringing the helpline for me, who then told me that they could not do anything, so it was a complete waste of time. I then went to Natwest, who were AMAZING, and sorted me with a new current account, with the CORRECT address, and they are sending my new card out in the post within three to five working days. If you are thinking of joining Halifax, please don't, they are cold and insensitive. Join Natwest instead.

Went in to open a second account here and had to book a future appointment. I was overheard by Jamie Ball who cancelled the appointment and saw me straight away.
I was expecting the usual drama but it was done very quickly and efficiently. It's a rare treat when someone actually knows their job these days, well done that man.

Bad communication skills from most of the staff over there phone .they do not secure your accounts and look after your money as they should .today they allowed a payment of 14.99 of yes to go through wen I have never purchased anything of yes .it took 1 hr 35 minutes on the phone using my credit me paying the cost wen this is a bank Error.I spoke to Mari from fraud department and Linda .They have now raised this case and have 15 working days to contact me .I am taking the Halifax to the financial Ombudsman.
