Understaffed and surrounded by useless machines, when will Barclays understand they cannot replace people with technology...with Metro Bank and other forward thinking banks snapping at this bank's hills, it is only a matter of time before we hear the retail unit of this bank being sold off to a bank with managers that understands customer service. I have been with this bank since 1988, it is about time i start to move my business elsewhere.

no counter service it has all been replaced by machines which I cannot use due to my disabilities.

the staff just walk around with tablets and expect you to discuss your finances with everybody being able to hear what you say

when I said I wasn't happy with the service I was told "why don't you take your custom elsewhere then?"

On 2 seperate occassions I have been to this branch over the last year to use their "instant card replacement" facility that they advertise on their website as available at this branch. Both times I had to queue for at least 30(!) minutes to speak to someone on the desk to then be told they have run out of the blank cards they use to print the replacement cards. This is despite employees coming up to me in the queue and asking me the reason for my visit and me telling them that I am here to get an instant card replacement. Here's an idea Barclays, when you run out of blank cards why not put a little sign at the front of the branch saying that so your customers don't have to waste their time queuing for something that you can't do! Very disappointed and considering taking both my personal and business accounts elsewhere.

Couldnt organise the proverbial in a brewery I'm afraid. Waited 4 weeks for an appointment and a month later I still have no bank account and they dont contact me I have to keep ringing them. Not impressed Barclays.

As with many other Barclays branches this has less staff and more customers hence staff forcing customers to use online and apps most of the time. It feels as if the staff are there to order the customers to get your grips with the computers, apps and the internet. Technology has the last laugh. I'm not against the technology but the human interest and touch seem less important when it comes to customer interaction. Bearing in mind this is not something against the Barclays branches staff but in general the bank's philosophy to place profit ahead of their customers by reducing the interaction times with the latter.

You can park in the TK Max car park for easy access but costs £2 an hour. Service in this branch is very slow for very simple tasks, more staff needed to ease this

No counter staff after 2pm and the machines don't except any coins. Even when the counter is open there is only one so the queue is so long.
