Such a stupid bank first went in there and machines were Broken so we had to wait in a 30 miniut line to get our cheque processed then we find out it wasn't processed properly so our money could have go to someone else with out use realising it then we did a letter of complain to HSBC and compensated us with £350 then a week later we get a letter saying that they are going to close all our HSBC accounts down for no reason such a stupid company and bank and they haven't told us why they are closing our accounts and at the bottom of the letter it said it is from the manager at hsHS Peckham branch without a name I demand a reply from HSBC.

I have visited this branch 5 times in the last week or so, it was closed (due to covid reasons) 4 times and the 5th time I was not allowed in as I wanted to ask a question about a business account. I was told I would have to wait for hours on the phone to speak to an advisor and this turned out to be true when I went to the Belgravia branch, where I was let in and the staff were helpful. However I waited more than an hour on the phone line that was apparently the only way to get my query resolved - there was no one available to speak to me, so a morning wasted.

After today I will be switching banks and leaving HSBC. The branch has been closed for days due to staff shortages. I arrived before the opening time and am STILL waiting to be let in. The staff spoke to us for a moment to say they were waiting on security approvals from HSBC, to open, and then, while customers waited in the cold winter, went to primark and costa coffee. There are more than 15 people waiting. When they returned, no customers were told anything that was happening, and after I asked 2-4 times, I was curtly told “we will open shortly”. Mind you all of this is after 4 hours spent on the phone with HSBC, where they sent my replacement debit card (you know the thing you use daily) to this branch as my only pick up option….. a branch that’s been closed for days, and had customer service shopping at local stores instead of keeping customers top of mind. Guess the “we’re here to help you” Line should be changed to “you will be at our mercy and rules if you wish to do any banking”

FOUR attempts, either unofficially closed - they never feel the need to prevent people making unneccessary journeys by making a minor change to their google times AND on the 4th attempt they wouldn't let me in because they were having some sort of unofficial lunch break. For the sake of everything good in this world, do not try and go to this horrendous bank. Leaving HSBC this next minute. May as well close the place.

Been 3 days now since I tried going to do a deposit and the branch is still closed. Are you that understaffed that you cannot afford to temporary transfer staff from another branch until you get your staffing issue resolved?

Awful branch! Really understaffed. There was one member of staff only, so queuing is a horrible and takes ages. You can’t just speak to someone to ask a simple question.

A strange place which mainly seems to be a room to house banking machines, rather than anyone who can help you with your banking. Basically mobile banking without the convenience and longer wait times.
