If you are not coming to maintain your bank account with six zeros onwards you might find personal service a bit odd. Absolutely helpless to deal with my business account and been referred to Victoria branch.
Giving two stars as someone actually helped me recently with online banking.
Using machines most of the time as lack of counter... ..

I work nearby and frequently have to put cash in. The only way to put cash in is via machines as the bank is contactless. For the past 6 months, 70% of the time the machine was broken and I had to go to the post office instead. Staff just shrug their shoulders and ask you to go elsewhere. They might as well close this useless bank.

Polite, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. I arrived in tears of frustration with the telephone banking team. The staff in this branch sorted everything out with no fuss.

Long queues with machines not working. Understaffed but the staff that are working there are impolite and unprofessional.

Very bad customer service. I was surprised by how rude and unhelpful.

This branch is usually busy but I was lucky enough to come during the quiet hours. I had a lot of questions in terms of opening personal and business accounts. One of the advisors, Nick, was more than helpful. He walked me through all the processes, got my accounts up and running within 24 hours and could not ask for better service.

Ah..it was nightmare.
After I visited Gloucester Rd branch and they mentioned that they are unable to help me with my transaction due to limited personal, I walked to this branch and unfortunately they said that they are closed. Time of my visit was Friday at 13.30.
They asked me to go to the Victoria branch.
All my job was to transfer money from my account!
I don't know what is going on with HSBC.
