Went into Barclays Ken High street at 9.30 tuesday 22nd November after queuing up outside for 15 minutes to pay into a business account. Normally I would have banked at Earls court branch but they no longer have counter service !!
Only one counter service assistant on duty , Mrs Patel , who when I asked about the situation regarding counter services at Barclays presently , she went into a tirade of how it wasn't her job to discuss Barclays branches !!!
I didn't speak to her again and let her rant on . Absolutely no customer service skills and she was extremely rude . I have made an official complaint against this woman as she needs to be moved to another position maybe and not on the counter dealing with clients .
The other 2 laddies I had dealings with , one who was on the help desk upstairs and the other lady downstairs who was doing the bank transfers were very helpful ,polite and friendly and I can recommend the two of them .

Worst customer service. The the manager would rather increase his tone and argue with you than find a solution to help you. I never felt so embarrassed in a bank where people should feel safe and trusted. I m considering closing my account now. Their ppl reflect their services

The staff members who I interacted with were very warm, friendly and helpful. The turnaround time was pretty quick. I got through within minutes. I just arrived in the country as an immigrant (a little under a month) and was pressed for time. I needed a bank account very quickly, and they notified me the moment a time slot was available. The process of setting up the account was pretty smooth, and not tedious at all. I had my account set up within a little over 24 hours! I was so happy. Great job, you guys!

I had a very bad experience. If you are in a hurry don’t go here. Every time I have gone I had to wait over one hour to speak to someone because they are always understaffed. Moreover, when I went to exchange money I had to explain what it meant to the lady at the front desk, which I found very odd as it is her job to know what it is. Such a pity as the online customer service is of excellent quality !

Went into the bank to ask a simple question about an old banknote. Was very arrogantly told to leave by the service provider at the door unless I was an existing customer. She definitely made sure I will not become one in the future.

Worst Customer service ever. The most unprofessional Customer service. I've never been so disappointed.

I walked into 3 banks today in high Street Kensington to seek Mortgages Agreement in Principle. Barclays was last on my mind but since I hold a current bank account with them and have had my account with them for the past 20 years I thought it'd be worth to speak to them too.
After asking to be seen a Guy with an incredible sense of self-importance walking up and down the bank asked me to follow him to the desk to discuss my query. Without taking any notes and putting any information into the computer and in an unprofessional matter as if he is playing a scene in the Godfather movie he asked my salary and said "this is how much you gonna get". He did not ask me about my bonus etc etc and what rates are available, nothing. The other 2 banks spent proper time going through everything with me. This guy at Barclays wanted to go home and the way he spoke to me was as though he was dealing with a Gangstar. I'm a female by the way. The Manager I complained too wasn't anything far off. There is certainly a sense of superiority with the staff. I was not provided the service or the information I sought. Do not go there...

If I could give 0 stars I would! No one wants to solve problems and help - was given huge attitude after waiting for 45 minutes to speak with someone

Great customer support from Kia this morning. I needed to print off some bank statements, he offered to help me and stayed with me throughout the process. He made me feel like a valued customer ( I’ve been with Barclays for over 40 years so I think I should be valued, but he didn’t know this), he was attentive, professional, friendly, nothing too much trouble..just what you would hope for as truly 5-star service from your bank. He’s young, but with obvious great potential and a real credit to Barclays. He made me believe once more in the capacity of a bank to provide great customer service. Well done Barclays for recruiting and training a young man with such obvious skills and great potential! I’m sure any other customers he deals with will feel the same as me. I hope he stays with Barclays, as he will certainly help the bank provide the level of service they aspire to.
