It was my 1st visit to Barclays this morning and I hope it will be my last. There was a huge queue at the one till that was open with disgruntled people leaving muttering under their breath how ridiculous it was. The machine wouldn't accept my cards to let me change my pin numbers on my new Barclaycard visas and after waiting 15 minutes for the one floor walker to be free she couldn't help me and sent me to a phone on the wall. I walked down to HSBC who had plenty of staff to help but I went to one of their cash machines and changed the pins with no problems. Oh dear Barclays not a good start with a new customer

When I eventually got served lady at the counter was lovely but....... Stood for 10 mins being ignored in front of one the "clever" machines that had crashed after taking my details. The young staff members need some customer service training. Apparently Barclays are not interested in feedback in store any more so I'll leave this here for everyone to see.

Came back to the UK after being away for many years. Went to Barclays to open an account, even had paperwork from my old account there. Was denied! Said they needed a utility bill. Quite rude staff too. Went to Lloyds and opened an account immediately with just a passport. Booooo Barclays, thumbs up Lloyds where the staff have been brilliant!

So many poor comments for nothing. If it is busy it means it's busy, you aren't the only one to be served, stop having strop! Amazing branch, great service Barclays one of the best banks, if not the best cares about its staff, environment and clients!

I asked to make an appointment to see an advisor but no appointments until June today is 5th April!!
I waited 15 minutes yesterday to be told this. Today 20mins to speak to a member of staff. This was mid morning. Eight people in a queue for the cashier. Please get more than 2 staff on duty before you loose more customers. I feel sorry for the staff trying to cope!

First visit to Barclays Chester in more than a decade, wouldn't chose to go again as machines don’t like me, a very helpful staff member had to assist as the machine literally wouldn’t recognise my touch, will avoid in future if possible. Barclays bring back real people please, new service doesn’t cut it!

Great customer service today from Charlotte in the Chester branch. Got me up and running with the Barclays app and replacement card. Nothing to much trouble! I have to say all the staff were very friendly in what are very difficult times.
