After being a customer for ten years i wanted to open a savings account, i phoned the call centre to make an appointment who were very helpful and actually called the branch for me..they told me that they would call me back ..upon reaching the branch spoke to the "customer services " girl who informed me that they were far to busy to call me back and i could wait if i wanted to but i still might not be seen. She was as rude and unhelpful as it was possible to be..I went over the road to Nationwide who couldn't have been more helpful and opened a savings account..im now seriously considering changing my current account to them as well..obviously customers aren't important to Barcleys anymore!

Dreadful customer services. Me and my partner waited 1.5 hours to be seen only to be turned away. If the employees at this branch cut down on the socialising, start being proffesional and got on with there jobs a little more, they would be more productive have happy customers, and be able to have their dinner breaks! Im now going with a nother bank.

I am with barclays from 2013 and I have to say that its a best bank to have. There customer service is always great. The staff they have is helpful. They have excellent and easy to use machines for deposit and withdrawal. All in all I have good banking experience with them.well recommended.........

Great service. Went in to close a joint account and were seen straight away.

The worst banking experience I’ve ever had. There were only 2 people in front of me but I still had to wait 25 minutes for a 1 minute job (which could only be done in the bank and not online). There was only one member of staff and she was not exactly the fastest and most efficient person. Short staffed and making everything online just creates hassle for everyone.

I have been happy since banking with barclays. However the two stars are missed because the branch closest to where I live and work has now been shut and the next closest branch only opens half 9 until 2. I work from half 8 until 4, bot good when I need to pay money into my account ASAP

I solely give this a 3 star because it opens on a Saturday where all other locally branches to me now close at ridiculous times or don't open on a Saturday or are closed down, this is the only time I can do my banking as I need to use a Pacific machine at barclays. I knock one star off for having to do a 1hr 10 min round journey and one star because barclays business model is now ridiculous...the staff are very polite and helpful, but I fear for there jobs. I wonder how long this Saturday opening will comtinue as they already gone from a 9am opening to an 0930 am opening on a Saturday. .. it is seriously time for people to move there banks to another provider who offer better counter service and opening times. Lots of negative reviews on barclays, who obviously don't care about its customers needs

I have been with Barclays for 25+yearsand now I go to the nearest branch as they closed ours to do a joint account , the woman on the door said sorry we don't or can't do that here as Boris said they can't yet we went there because the phone banking team said they can only do it in branch , so a wasted trip that even with the interest Barclays pay on your money won't cover the cost of parking and wasted fuel . Not good Barclays if you don't want people to use you just say so and stop messaging them about .
