Barclays Bank

Absolutely appalling service levels, very confused customers everywhere, a young redheaded girl was sort of greeting some customers but she was ineffective as she did not know what she was doing.

There is no clear flow for customers and too few staff. Very poor all round. The manager also seemed preoccupied with talking through a hatch to an invisible member of staff.

I shall take my banking business elsewhere if this is what Barclays think is acceptable customer service.

The person out front was good, but the person who was supposed to help me with my banking requests was not. She said she needed to go to lunch, I'm not happy. If I was informed about her time constraints beforehand I would have gone to another branch. I wasted my time waiting for her and then I only managed to complete half the things I had requested to do. Might have just been an off day, but I ended up wasting a considerable amount of time.

Absolutely useless bank, broken machines regularly, slow service if you want to deal with a human and poor opening hours. May as well close altogether. Staff can't all be sick, I'm managing to get into work.

I went to open account 2 time both first time they told me they can’t accept prof address my id second time they ask me to bring utility bill water bill I provide utilities bill and they told me no we don’t accept anymore just anoyed service I left the work 2 times and no results at all

Incompetent staff. They lost my money when depositing and I had to go on a chase to get my own money back. Trust the machines and not any staff in the branch.

I recently found out that Barclays used my money to fund fossil fuels. I didn’t realise banks did this. And Barclays is the biggest funder of all banks. I’m horrified that my money has been used in that way! I’m doing everything I can to do my part to tackle the climate crisis as we’re being hurtled into irreversible damage to the planet- floods, fires, drought and other natural disasters and massive loss of biodiversity. Even in our country we’re seeing this impact but our children will be the ones who truly suffer. Change banks to a clean bank so your hands are also clean. Monzo is one of them.

People, PLEASE, don’t use this bank (or at least complain if you do). Barclays is one of the world’s biggest financers of fossil fuels, directly causing climate change. Banking with Barclays means banking for a future with extreme heat, floods, sinking cities, wildfires, drought, famine, migration crisis, and conflict in the UK and around the world. Barclays doesn’t have to fund fossil fuels but they prefer profit over humanity and livable planet. I seriously can’t imagine how big Barclays bosses can look their kids in the eye, knowing they are destroying their future for profit. Google ‘Sharklays’ for more info and evidence.

Barclays is the biggest investor in fossil fuels in Europe which means they are funding the Climate Crises we are all facing. If your family and children are dear to you and you’d like them to have a secure future consider changing to a clean bank.
