Santander

Have been here to set up both my sons with bank accounts (two years apart) both with different staff members. They have always made it a surprisingly good experie nce!

Really good popular bank, with helpful staff - it does get very busy at lunchtimes though.....

I went into this branch to sort out issues with my student account. I visited a total of 4 times and was spoken to rudely by one member of staff on 2 occasions. This was only the first issue however.
I was told that the issue with my student account would be looked into every time but not once did I get a call back after being told I would be contacted.
After attempting to solve the problem with this branch numerous times over a period of about 2 months I decided that it was no longer worth my time and opted to speak to the very busy student branch on campus. Here, the issue was fixed within 5 minutes and I was contacted later that day to update me.
I have never been more disappointed by the sheer incompetence of a bank before and would not recommend visiting this branch if you're looking to actually find a solution to your issues.

Awfully rude female staff.

During this lockdown there have been two counter staff (typically) at this Beeston branch. One very pleasant staff member, and the other is a rather unpleasant older woman with black hair. This morning, 23/11/2020, I had the misfortune of being served by the latter. Honestly, if she doesn't like the job, she should leave.

I have been trying for weeks to deposit some money into my account, hampered by new closing times. I tried using the Santander cash machines, at various branches, without success. I even had my card replaced but the problem still continued. I needed to find out whether or not cash machine services was now being limited. I attempted to ask the question this morning but was cut off mid sentence. She just didn't want to know.

I just need to share my wonderful experience at Santander Beeston Nottingham Branch. The service from a member of staff named Sarah Found was second to non. I have been banking with Santander for over a decade and this lady went above and beyond today. I just want to make everyone aware that there still are very kind professional people out there working for their customers. Thank you again wish all staff members were as kind and considerate as her.
