My card stopped working for no reason, went in with a form of ID and 2 other bank cards - one business and one more personal I use which were both on there system and I know the pins for. Tried to get some money out over the counter, the address on my licence did not match the one they had on the system but i still had 2 other bank cards in my name.

Women had a can't be bothered attitude throughout and I could tell from the moment I walked up she didn't really want to help.

Very disappointed will be moving both my personal accounts and also my business account. Funny thing is I only wanted to draw £30 out!!

Well have to say spoke to my mother today had a call off one of your staff recently asking if she needs anything she is 84. Her answer would be her daughters or granddaughters would do it, we are are key works but will do all we can for her. Have to say thank you because a phone call is a life line. Please carry on calling and call again if your assistance is not required that time maybe next time you are needed xx

After checking the website for opening times I then traveled to the bank and got there in plenty of time before it closed! Only to find that the branch had closed early. The person on the door very unhelpful and refused to open the door to speak to me. What a service!!!

Open an account for my son for him to be turned away , he had his birth certificate,national insurance paper, a sixth form student card and a bus pass all with his name on but got told wasnt good enough the lady didn't even look at any of them and not every 17 year old as a passport

Our nightmare finally solved!!! We tried phoning the Halifax helpline on three occasions in order to make an appointment at the Arnold branch. We wasted nearly 3 hours on the phone getting conflicting advice and finally having it confirmed that customers no longer able to call their branch directly even though branch telephone numbers are still easy enough to find on the Internet. In desperation we went to the Arnold branch and managed to persuade them to give us an interview. Rachel one of their service advisors actually gave up her lunch in order to help us, such a generous thing to do. From then on it was all sweetness and light we were treated really really well and all of our banking problems resolved on the spot.
I cannot speak highly enough about this branch and its customer relations they are beyond reproach, in direct opposition to our experience with their national helpdesk which I am afraid is a total waste of everyone’s time

This is only really the 2nd time in the last couple of years that I have been in branch as I can sort most things online. However the times I have been in I have been helped by a chap called Andy on the help desk and he is just bloody brilliant. Both times he sorted out my queries promptly, professionally and with ease. I don't usually write reviews but I just wanted to say that I think he is fantastic at his job and even though I'm moving city I'll probably still continue to use the Halifax in Arnold.
