Fast and quick service and it's got everything you need with a bank card

Worst Bank, ATM stole my card left me high and dry, even though they could clearly see that i was distressed, wont lift a finger to help, kept quoting bank policy, at first when they taught it was an HSBC card they were running to get it sorted, as soon as they realized it was a card from another bank, they were like, we cant give it back. where is the common sense and managers discretion? they also kept saying about competitors, and told me to go to the back when they knew fully well that my branch was closed, positively wickedness to the highest degree, in the end my own bank on the phone was apologizing that the ATM at HSBC took my card, when the staff at HSBC made no attempt to say sorry, treated me as if i was cheapskate, i wonder how they would have acted if it was someone famous, but obviously all us average Joe,s are all crooks are we not, I dare HSBC, in fact I double dare HSBC to contact me.

Staff are helpful and polite. 3 counters, nearly always only 1 staffed. Can be VERY slow. Free wifi. Grateful only have to use bricks and mortar bank once a month.

Had an initial discussion for a mortgage, I was eligible. After 3 weeks when came to officialise everything, I wasn't eligible anymore (talking to the same set of people 😂).
No worries, you were not doing a service to me, I was doing a service to you paying your interest all the way but now I'll do a service to another bank!

This site used to be Midland Bank until it was taken over by Hong Kong Shang Hi Banking Corporation in June 1992 thus giving HSBC a foot hold in Britains financial sector.

Pleasant hard working staff helped me very quickly and were extremely nice, thanks!

HSBC are one of the most difficult banks to deal with now that our local branch is closing, their on-line "chat" is ridiculously difficult to access and when you finally get in to it they don't do what you ask! Try to talk to someone on a telephone after going through multiple security questions and they can't help me either and to add to the problem, when I asked for someone to ring me back that could help me the man hung up!!! All I want to do is to close my accounts and I still don't know if I've done it?

Google page says open to 4.30pm, actual time is 3.30pm. Waste of my time. Wants to go digital and reduce actual branches but can’t get simple online updates in check.
