Today I looked up the closing times for this branch online which states 9:30am–4:30pm.
I drove to Newport and got there for 4pm to find they closed at 3:30pm!
They displayed ''COVID'' opening times on the door that differ from the ones you can find online. Whats the point of displaying closing times on your branch door but not online ? Surely the ''covid'' closing times should be updated on the website first. What a waste of time !

Waited 15 mins at the one cash desk. Just to change £20 of £2 coins into a note. Then asked could I also draw out money. Told no, go to the machine. Think I'll transfer everything over to lloyds. No problem there, 4 cash desks open, have changed coins and withdrawn money at the same time.

How rude yesterday girl was when u go in.Just phone up instead..40 mins later I went back in after trying phone.Then had to wait 30 mins to see somebody Compared to other banks least there's staff there who try to be helpful.

Absolutely gutted why I travelled all the way to come to this branch! been waiting for the past half an hour for a simple service!!! There are staff members walking around fiddling their fingers and no ones bothered that there are 6 customers waiting here!!! Awful service!!!!

In the attempt to make service all automatic there is only 1 person serving at the counter and a queue of 10+
I would not say the automation is fully for the benefit of the service users

Awful branch and an awful experience, someone is stood there trying to force you to use these machines that are there steering you away from being able to speak and deal with the person on the counter, she refused to take no for an answer, very passive aggressive, intimidating and degrading, i was asked how much money I want to pay in surrounded by people listening, was a dreadful experience. The machines are touch screen and they aren’t cleaned between each use, hand sanitiser won’t be enough to stop me catching god knows what from the surfaces. Other banks aren’t like this and still give you a choice, I think I’ll be closing my account and moving across to another bank.

After I had spoken to a customer service representative last night on the phone to advise as I have lost my card and I am waiting for a new one is there a way to transfer money to another account, she advised to go to a branch today before 13:30 as it is a Saturday and they should be able to help. I went to the Barclays on Commercial road Newport to be told no I need my card by a OK the door wench!! I called them back and was told she should of helped as I have ID! Gotta change banks.

Been this morning waited 20 minutes and what I been for the Employe told me call online which I already did 3 time yesterday and they told me to go to branch now I call them again they said you have to go to Branch we can’t say anything on phone. So don’t know what to do they are confused. 4 times I call and been to Barclays newport both of them can’t sort my problem.
