Barclays Bank

Very rude staff, always are in this branch. Only used due to clear refusal of service from the ystrad mynach branch. Worked in customer service roles for over 5 years myself and I know that if i was their line manager i'd get rid of a few immediately.

I understand the social distancing rules and didn’t mind waiting an hour outside, but when I got to the desk the cashier was extremely rude towards me and refused to accept the coins I needed to cash In which were all sorted properly in money bags. What is the point of a bank if they do not accept money?

looked on web site to check time of closing it said 2pm arrived at bank at 1.30pm upon entering bank was told by woman behind counter that they close the counter at 1pm when i said i had checked the times they close on the web site i was told that was wrong and they were closed i asked why the time on the website was saying 2pm i was told in a very abrupt voice that i should have checked the time on the door of the bank and not their website. i explained that i was not going to come all the way to bargoed to look at the time on the door when it is easier to look on the website on the internet We are being told not to go out unless it is essential because of covid so why am i being told to travel to bargoed to look at their bloody door what is the point of putting times on their website if they are not going to adhere to them.

BARGOED BARCLAYS HAS THE MOST UNHELPFULL STAFF OF ANY BRANCH I HAVE DEALT WITH

Like watching paint dry waiting for service. Best take a sleeping bag and camp out overnight. Shocking unprofessional service.

Absolutely disgusting customer service in this bank from an older female cashier towards my daughter today. I had to step in because my daughter was sobbing! I pulled her for her judgmental rudeness and she soon changed her attitude towards me! Never experienced anything like this! A bank is ment to be a safe place where they help handle your finances not pass judgment on you for something they know nothing about as cashiers! Appalling bullying behaviour!

Absolutely shocking customer service by the "lady" who is their "Personal" Banker.
Rude and utterly without any compassion or empathy towards my disabled father, and talked over him while he was sobbing due to cremating his wife of 65 years the day before, before completely disregarding his current emotional state, or any effect on his mental health!
Never have I had to go into any bank to take someone's name and position to launch a formal complaint against them. Literally one of the most smug, self-important and rude people I've dealt with in 47yrs!
If you like friendly, helpful staff who go that extra mile, avoid this branch like the plague.
Go to HSBC, Nationwide, or any other bank to save yourself the trouble of having to deal with the horrendous excuse for a person who "makes the decisions here". Disgusted doesn't begin to come close....

Only giving one star because i have to....no choice to leave a zero star rating. Checked closing time on website, 2.30. walked down and got to bank at 1.30, notice on door says the same closes at half 2 and it was shut??!!!!! Pointless branch staying open, only keeping minimal hours as it is and even then it seems the opening/closing times cannot be adhered to.
