City Cycle Hire

I rented a bike with CCH for a period of 3 and a half months and I can highly recommend them. The bikes are quite sturdy and very comfortable. Also, the regular maintainance included in the price came in handy and made my stay in Cambridge very worry-free. Great value for money and a very good customer support!

I rented one of their bikes for three months, and was thrilled with the experience. They were extremely helpful and friendly, even though I kept coming back with punctures and other problems--all of which they fixed immediately, for no extra charge. Great guys, great business, and best value for what you'll get in Cambridge.

I had a wonderful experience renting a bicycle with City Cycle Hire. I strongly recommend them. I was in Cambridge for 6 months and it's much cheaper to rent than buy a bike. The good thing about renting from City Cycle Hire is that every 6 weeks they give your bike a free tune up & they are located near the city centre. Their prices are also very affordable.

I have several times rented bikes from City Cycle Hire. This year, unfortunately, the service was miserable: the dealer was unfriendly, grumpy and also treated other customers inappropriately. While the price for the bikes was okay, we paid an additional £40 for ancient and partly defective bike helmets. Next time we will consider another bike shop.

4 experienced male cyclists rented bikes for a period of 8 days in
september 2022, making a 500 kilometer roundtrip in Norfolk/Suffolk. The bikes functioned really well, no problems whatsoever. Adam at the bikeshop was really helpful, giving good information about the bikes, providing us with spare tubes and some tools just in case, and suggesting interesting places to go and nice cycle routes to follow.

Good Service. I've rented a bike for a few months and eventually bought the bike there for valuable price in a perfect condition. They know how to look after bicycles!

Went to rent a cycle recently. The guy at the shop (owner?) was super grumpy, aggressive and rude, and boasting like they're the only cycle shop in the area. He was serving random customers who came later while there were few others waiting already. On the wayback from that awful place, found a super comfy cycle from some other nearby cycle shop. If you're not confronted, have a look at his responses to the reviews below.

I rented a bike from them for several months and my experience was great. Very competitive prices; good bike; honest, empathetic and surprisingly fast service considering how busy they are; and very clear communication and delivery of information. Had a flat tire once during my rental time and they repaired it in few minutes no questions asked.
