Absolute gem of a bike shop.

Gav and his team went completely above and beyond the normal service you'd expect from a shop.

We bought a Tern GSD cargo bike. They built a number of custom features for us, in record time and even opened the shop on their day off so we could collect the new bike and enjoy the sun. I can't say enough about their commitment to working with a customer.

Highly recommend Butternut to anyone in the crouch end area!

I had a very pleasant experience at Butternut Bikes.

I popped in for a water bottle and it was purchased at an affordable price given the quality of the branding - also [without asking] I was offered a water top up featuring some added complimentary sports nutrition.

I would highly recommend this shop, the staff were friendly; knowledgeable and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Butternut Bikes is the bike shop you dream about having on your doorstep. For them it isn't just the bike, it's about how you can get the most from living with and using your bike. They have been so helpful in getting our bikes properly set up, and in quickly and efficiently dealing with servicing and repairs. Absolutely five star.

Gav the team fixed my bike today while I was waiting.. Had a great chat with them and most importantly they know how to fix bikes.

I had a great experience with my bike service. I had to move recently and find a new bike shop, so I tried Butternut.
I booked my service in advance, there were no issues dropping it off and I was asked if I needed it back quickly, which I didn't.
I got an online quote, showing exactly what was needed and could opt in for each thing.
When I collected my bike, they gave it a quick check and changed one more thing, which they didn't charge for as it was after the quote.
It was really good to know they wanted to make sure my bike was at it's best before I got it back.
Would very much recommend them and wi be going back.
Also Sprocket, the dog, offers great customer care, while you wait! 🐶

Thanks Butternut team for getting me on a new cycle!!! I went in a month or so ago and asked if they could sell me a bike, but they didn't have one in stock that was right for my (tiny) budget! But they were so great and told me to look online, see what I could find new or used and then they looked at my shortlist and advised me on the right one that would work for my needs (commuting to work) and family (baby seat compatible). Once I got the bike delivered I took it to them to get it set up out of the box (pedals/mudguards/bolts etc), fitted for my height, and they sold me some great accessories (panniers, lights, lock etc). Gav also very kindly gave me a run through of safety on the London roads (as I've only cycled in North America). I look forward to taking my bike in at 6 weeks for a checkup with the team :) 100% recommend!!!

Also just to add, the shop banter is a real plus on a visit, leave with bike stuff and a smile!

The guys at this shop are always friendly and helpful - they'll always let you know if your bike needs servicing in future or might need an extra seeing to. The text + email collection system is working really well now as well. Recommended!
