I came in re a dodgy wheel and left with a smoother running bike all round. The brakes and the gears feel better than (possibly) ever. All for a reasonable price. Great service all round, not grumpy at all as some other reviews have mentioned :)

Edit: Back again! I don't visit bike workshops often and undertake basic maintenance myself, but I am usually reluctant to get my bike looked at professionally when I have a concern. It is a BSO after all. Here, I don't have to worry about some random diagnosis and extortionate repair estimates. Gary is happy to give simple solutions and advice for free or at a fair price. I will not hesitate to return!

No complaints about the work done on my bike (new tread around my wheel and fixed a puncture + tightened the brakes). However, the service format put me off getting more work done. You cannot book or pay in advance for parts to be ordered and then bring your bike in when they arrive. Instead you are expected to leave your bike at the shop for an unknown amount of time while they order the parts. Also, once the work is complete you have just 48h to go and get the bike before they start charging you a £5 daily fee.

Gary really knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work, he regularly services my commuter bike including its Sturmey Archer hub and my road bike full of modern components. This weekend he was a real lifesaver as I had just started a long ride but was getting a strange noise from the brakes, I was hanging outside the shop desperate for help not realising they were shut for the day, however Gary was passing by chance and gave up his free time to sort things out and get me back on the road. Awesome stuff!

I had a pretty a terminal bike mechanical breakdown at the start of this years L2B. Popped in on the off chance it could be solved.

Within 20 mins I was back up and running - I just want to pass my thanks to the gentleman running the workshop for helping me out.

Any absolute hero + a true professional

Highly recommend, the service is very professional and good value for money. I'm not the most experienced cyclist and Gary really takes the time to explain things which is very appreciated! It's always great to support a local business too.

I was in a rush, my breaks had failed and the owner checked it and fixed it straight away without charging anything. Probably was a simple thing but still was very kind of him.

Highly recommended.

Went for the first time with a second hand road bike I just bought and required a service. Went for the gold service type as I noticed gearing jumps and brake delays among other things and it was all done within a week as there was a bit of a queue of other bikes.
The bike feels good as new now and just powers away smoothly.

Pricing was discussed upfront and all necessary parts for replacements were also discussed. Really knowledgeable and put me at ease. Will use again.
