Balfe's Bikes Waterloo

Went in for a phone mount and some lights for my bike. Lovely genuine service from Damian - took time to understand my needs and get me exactly the right items and no overselling of kit that’d be more expensive than I need. Great experience. Absolutely no doubt I’d go back.

Popped in on way to work as saddle was to high and dust cap missing from my wheel. Really friendly and helpful! Will definitely be coming back for my bike services here in future.

Staff were friendly, but i felt the team couldnt handle a flat tire. I came in the early hours of the morning to get my puncture repaired. Then went to work, by the time i left work the puncture happened again. Took it back, got charged for another tube instead of both tube and labour costs. Went home, next morning punctured again. I ended up having to sort it out myself with the help of a friend. First thing you're supposed to check before replacing the tube is to see if something is lodged in the tire itself that could be causing the repeated punctures. That is what i precisely found when i replaced the tube myself. Guided my finger around the inner lining of the tire and found a tiny piece of glass stuck in the tire, it was piercing right through the tire and essentially causing these repeated punctures. Resolved it my myself, however i feel like i paid for those tubes for no reason..

Great service on two occasions. Rupert has done a great job twice on an old Dutch bike, not the easiest of bike to look after. I am delighted to have found out the place where I will take my bike for repair in the future. Thank you.

My orange clockwork mountain bike is absolutely spot on and perfectly set up.
I give 5 stars but this shop deserves much more than that. I give the highest of recommendations to this bike shop. Out of all the bike shops I have ever used throughout the UK this is the best by far.

They did a very quick flat tire fix for me on a Saturday evening, despite the shop being rather busy. Very helpful and nice people.
I got another flat on Sunday morning in the same tire, but that is due to broken glass on London streets, no fault of the bike shops. Need to get aramid fibre tires.

These guys gave my bike they best service it’s ever had. I’ve never had it work so well or look so clean! The staff were lovely, upfront and were great at communicating what my bike needed etc.
I’ve used this Balfes frequently when I’ve needed a service or advice. They’re very reliable and reasonable.
