I can't thank Sam and the team at Friction Cycles enough.
I went into the shop a few weeks ago looking for a new hard-tail, Sam took the time to talk through my requirements and the options available then took me try a couple of bikes out in the local park. When it became evident that they didn't have exactly what I wanted, they priced up a couple of build options and gave me a great deal on assembly. I couldn't be happier with the result.
A top notch customer service experience.
Cheers chaps, you guys are awesome.

Only good things to say tbh. Bike arrived super quick and was delivered by Sam who helped me get set up. I’ve been away from bigger bikes for a while and wasn’t laughed at when I asked how to remove the through axles! :)

Biggest praise I can give is that I’ll be catching the train up to Bristol to get the bike serviced there.

Very friendly and professional service.

I had to book in for a bike servicing, the guys were very knowledgeable and upfront about possible costs.

After the servicing I was told that I could come back if it needed adjusting which was nice. The bike felt like brand knew, although i went back the next day because I was unsure about a part of the bike. He was very helpful tweaking it for me despite having a busy day and me just turning up.

Im sure you can tell from my photo i would highly recommend if you want knowledge local care for your bike.

Great easy talking guys, knowledgeable and understanding. Assisted with my purchase of Nukeproof Giga Factory 2022.
Highly recommended.

Dropped in their today and the staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up buying a couple of thing and spent about £3 more than I would have done from Wiggle even with their ‘Black Friday Deals’. Well worth the extra £3 to actually get good customer service.

I had a nightmare on my commute one morning I had my son on the bike too and one of the guys had just started unlocking the shutter when I asked if he could help me. No question he got my bike in and sorted it all straight away so I could be on my way. He also noticed a few dangerous bits that he corrected and advised me on some points that needed attention. Baring in mind another bike shop had not long serviced my bike. I'm really greatfull he was there to help. Great service. I will return.

These guys saved the day twice in one day! They seriously have great stock that no other bike shops on Bristol could offer. (I rang and ran around bike shops all day) they did disappoint. Legends!

I took my bike in to get the gear shifting fixed some months ago and the person who looked at it came up with a large number of other repairs he said needed doing, quoting £250 in total. I was sceptical and took it to Bikesmiths down the road who fixed the gears for about £20. And the bike has been going fine since. So I wouldn't take their word for it if they argue you need a lot of repairs that aren't obviously necessary, and I now don't trust them not to add on unnecessary things if I were to take the bike for repair here.

Edit to reply to response - my quote (which I still have) was not just for safety-related issues. £65 was just for "service cost". £55 was for new gear shifters and cables. Etc. The bike has been fine for months after the ~£20 repair, so it seems that these were unnecessary. This suggests to me that at least one staff member overquotes and could lead to customers needing to pay more than they need to. Or that they don't know how to do repairs for good value. This is mainly just meant as feedback to help improvement - maybe evaluate whether high quotes given by staff are actually reasonable.
