Brought my beloved bike for a service and repair into Stah’s on Saturday, they took it in and they advised that it would be ready on Monday. And so it was. My bike looked great and healthy. They had done only the work which the bike needed and therefore they did not inflate my bill. The service fee was fair, the job done in time. I have saved them in my maps as the repairs site in this area. Totally recommend them. Well done.

I went to fix my bike seat as the screw was too old, and it snapped while I was riding my bike. They fixed my bike on the spot. They cut the new (second-hand) seat post to fit it in my bike and fitted it back, then adjusted the seat within 10 minutes. Amazing work! Thank you.

For 15 years now I've been bringing my bike to Stah, even once I had moved 5 miles further north-east. He's ever so reliable, professional, proficient, thorough, and all of it for reasonable prices.

I’d spent 2 days and a lot of YouTube videos trying to fit a new (& very tight) schwalbe marathon plus tyre. Stah fitted it in about 5 mins with zero fuss. Brilliant & helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

Best mechanics in London. Been going to Stah since his BLB days. No bullsh*t, no fuss, no problem. Accept no imitations. TCB.

East Side is the antithesis of a bike shop in a hipster-heavy area like Broadway Market, London E8. I’m sure it works as well for die hard bike aficionados as it did for me a sporadic cyclist. Nick (who works there) was helpful, explained what my bikes needed and fixed them up and delivered on time. It’s a great bike shop and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I wish I had read the negative reviews and the very rude owner responses before visiting this shop! I brought my bike in recently and the shop was empty but the person behind the counter was working on paperwork when I arrived. I tried several times to explain what I wanted done: just a gear adjustment and replacing my quick-release axles on my wheels with anti-theft ones. He barely listened to me and kept brushing me off when I tried to make sure he understood that I didn't need a full bike service (saying "yeah, yeah" and literally waving me out the door). Lo and behold, when I go to pick up my bike, he had done a full service and tried to charge me for it. After arguing with him about this for a few minutes, he gave in on the extra charge, which I appreciated. He did good work on my bike and the gears shift smoothly now. Unfortunately, it's exhausting to have to fight with someone to be heard during what should be a simple transaction, and I won't be returning.

Also, they didn't keep or return my quick-release axles when they replaced them. I was too distracted by the charge to notice in the moment, but it is a bit annoying.

Could not have had a more positive experience. I had a rear brake, cables and brake levers fitted to a Tokyo bike - the quote was over £100 cheaper than a nearby store and ended up coming in cheaper than quoted. Totally transparent, honest and responsive. Fully recommended.
