Beiciau Hobbs Bikes

Took three bikes to this shop. Dyfrig, who i have learnt is the owner, took a look at the bikes, having been told the problems to each. I asked how much, he turned to each bike in turn ' ten pounds, ten pounds, sixty pounds' was his reply. So I'm expecting a bill around the eighty pounds mark.
He also told me it would take 2-3 days.
8 days later he charged me £160 and insisted he said it was £60 per bike. Unfortunately for him he gave his estimation in front of my son. We both agree to what he said.
My advice would be to be careful using this character. He is vague at best and disingenuous at worst. Never again.

Great customer service experienced today from Dyfrig. I witnessed him fixing/servicing bikes, selling over the telephone and selling face to face. It is clearly a very busy time for bike sales/servicing and Dyfrig is clearly trying his best to keep everyone happy,
On top of all this, e-bikes are booming from this shop and again Dyfrig is a fountain of knowledge.
Dyfrig could not have been more helpful, I was even encouraged to ride one of his e bikes on the local cycle path!! No pressure and great advice.
I will definitely be returning once I have my budget sorted..

Riding through Wales had an issue with a cassette first class service would highly recommend using these guys

took my wifes trike down there twice to be fixed paid on both ocassions and the problem still existed charged us to fit new wheel bearings and when i took the trike somewhere else to be fixed the wheelbearings in his opinion had never been changed new bearings fitted now and not a problem after a few months of use dont trust this crook wouldnt trust him with a wheelbarrow

This team understand bicycles. And no-nonsense approach, 'a bring it in when you can", RESULT perfect service and a great result. And reasonably priced. Parking outside just off the main road.
Look forward to an excuse to go back again and get another bike serviced. Probably my wife's! Call me if you need any more information.

Fixed the pedal treads on my crank arm on the same day was reasonably priced and very professional

I visited this interesting little shop while passing by on a road trip. Well worth a look in here especially for their collection of unusual & classic bikes.

Not the widest selection of parts in the store but everything is very functional. The owner seems like a very experienced cyclist & mechanic who most likely can fix any bike you’d bring to him.

Glad I popped in here. A fascinating old school shop that’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I was travelling by motorcycle with two friends when one of our bikes suffered a clutch cable failure. This happened close to Beiciau Hobbs Bikes and the business owner offered to assist even though this is a bicycle business. Tools and a cable were provided to help with a temporary repair. Whilst not bicycle-related, I wanted to highlight the effort and service the owner went to in order to help us out. Thank you for your superb service!
