The Snug Bookshop

I have visited many book stores and I feel compelled to say what an absolute joy my experience was at Snug Books. The welcome from the staff member was astonishingly refreshing and the encouragement to look at the books, read and sit on the floor to see what my daughter liked was nothing short of wonderful. A book is an experience and the Snug Books provided a simply forgotten moment as part of that.

I visited The Snug today looking for Christmas gifts for children of different ages, not knowing where to start and having already failed in a national book chain. The experience couldn't have been more different. Rose was helpful and enthusiastic but not pushy and her suggestions so imaginative. A wonderful range of books for such a small space - I would encourage anyone looking to inspire children to read to shop locally and support this lovely shop.

Amazing to see so many books in one place. So helpful, I just had to say the ages of the children I was buying for and I was shown the range. Then they put a book by for me that was due in the next order. Such good service.

If you are looking for children's books then this should be the only bookshop you visit. The advice given was perfect. The choice fantastic. The owner of the shop is completely dedicated to providing wonderful books for all children.

Best bookshop for miles around. Not only kids books, but a decent selection of adult titles too. You won't belive how many books they've squeezed into this diddy shop.

This little Aladdin's Cave of a bookshop is hiding in plain sight in Olney, just on the market square. Rose "knows her stuff" and was able to make some excellent book recommendations in specialised subjects in the children's section. You can see from the beautifully illustrated books that Rose has not only good taste, but an eye for what appeals to children and their parents. I felt like I had discovered something rare and precious today when I stepped into the Snug Bookshop. I will be returning to this little treasure trove again. I highly recommend a visit.

What a gem of a place! How wonderful to discover an independent bookshop. The owner knows her stuff and gives excellent advice based on a person's interests, reading habits, books previously read and enjoyed... I highly recommend a visit.

I was struggling to find a Christmas present for a young autistic family member. The shop owner was happy to spend time with me discussing the child and their likes and dislikes to help me settle on the perfect book. Amazingly lovely service, I will definitely be back.
