Howarth Timber & Building Supplies

Went as member of public. Had some measurements for a timber frame I was building. Hadn't got a clue where to go etc. Staff at counter guided me through process. Staff in warehouse were very helpful and even showed me told me a bit about the best way to join the timber I was buying. Used a couple of times now and been good every time.

Howarths are a good merchants. They have a good stock of good quality products at a good price, even to me and I don't have an account with them. The staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable too!

After ringing and checking the availability of the timber I required I travelled 15 miles only to be told, in a very unhelpful manner, that you don’t stock it! So after an hours wasted time and a gallon of wasted fuel I am disgusted with the very unhelpful way I was treated! No apology no nothing.

Went to Howarth timber yesterday the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and cost of product was very good and got everything from them that I needed will certainly use them again so thank you

I went to 3 places looking for a piece of ply cut to size. It didn't seem a particularly big or difficult job, 2 cuts and away. 1st place said they couldn't tell me at what time of the day it would be ready, 2nd place said that if i went to the Congleton branch that they would do it but it could be hours. I was about to give up but went to Howarth's. What a difference. Had a chat with a guy on the yard, 10 minutes later I was on my way having wasted over an hour at other places and driving around. An absolute pleasure to deal with. No time will be wasted next time. I know exactly where to go. Thank you all so much.

I went for a piece of board but had to buy a full sheet £27 but only needed half of it so now ive got a piece of board 2.4mtr x 550 spare sitting at home as they didnt do half sheets but service was great and the man who cut it tom was very pleasent

just locked ourselves out of our car after purchasing a small piece of wood for a d.i.y. project. .Colin and a company rep have helped us to break into our car ,having to smash a window and clear up the mess. All done with a kind word .Massive thanks to you . Great service..
