Sound advice given to me many years ago regarding my account has paid off. I was advised not to close my account as I have had the account for a while. Now, as I have been a member for over 15 years plus, I qualify for being loyal member therefore get a higher rate of interest. Thank you very much for the advice. I have no hesitation in recommending Nationwide to all. Happy Days.

Fab, absolutely fab! Friendly and helpful staff, excellent customer service! Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because sometimes the queues are quite long (made worse by COVID19, obviously!). More than happy to recommend Nationwide, it's easy-to-use website and all the branches I've ever visited! PLEASE GO IN SO WE DON'T LOSE YET ANOTHER BANK IN ASHBY?!

Ultimate laziness!
I went in the other week with 2 cheques and some cash. Went to the till where two chaps were sitting (1 being on his phone) there was no one in the queue or even in the building apart from me. So asked for them to pay them all into the same account and put the card on the till with the money and cheques.
I was told that the machine outside will take cheques and cash. So I told the chap that I was in a hurry and would like him to do it, in which he replied ‘but the machine outside will do it’….. helpful…. Really helpful.
