Start Up Croydon

I've been here a few years no and I couldn't see myself anywhere else.

First of all, it's a charity office so they are not profit focused, my rent has stayed the same since moving in over 3 years ago.

Great parking facility and all meeting/board rooms are free of charge for use.

Great place to work, friendly receptionists and good offices.

The entire team at Start Up Croydon is extremely helpful and flexible. They will do everything possible for you to succced. Highly recommended. The area is on the up too with a new Starbucks and EV charging stations across the road.

I took part in the startup business course here. The course instructors are amazing, they gave me the support and guidance to kick start my startup journey

I am doing a training there and I am really enjoying myself, love the group and the facilitators.

I have been considering starting my own business in 2022 since spending over 35 years working for the London Fire Brigade, making London a Safer City and also responding to the global pandemic by managing the Capital’s PPE distribution centre which was based in the great London Borough of Croydon.

I had started putting together a business plan but definitely needed some support and guidance in this area and also getting to grips with various modern-day aspects of planning for a successful business start-up.

I went online and after a quick Google search I located Start Up Croydon who as luck would have it, were running a 3 day Start Up and Go Bootcamp course, which was starting on the following Wednesday.

I immediately signed up for the course and was happy that I could attend in person as the location is very easy to get to using public transport with Wandle Park tram stop less than 2 mins walk from their site at Weatherill House.

The course was well structured and despite the challenge of a large number of the candidates being on Zoom and half a dozen students in the classroom, the course leader and CEO Saffron Saunders along with Ben Oram were experts in keeping everyone’s attention and engaging with all participants.

The course covers so many elements of starting a new business and for a very affordable £25 fee I might change my business idea to selling these courses at a profit as I am sure I could fill these courses for 4 times that amount, excellent value for money and a great course especially when you add in the virtual and in person guest speakers, including Accountant Jo from Bell Accountancy, Digital Marketing by Vee from Insight 2 Marketing and Neil from Bryden Johnson Chartered Accountants.

It goes without saying that if you are thinking about starting your own business or if you already have a business which requires a boost, I highly recommend Start Up Croydon as a five star asset in the Capital and one which we should all be truly proud of and support 100%.
