Liked: A beautiful site and welcoming host. All facilities were immaculate. The campsite was really peaceful and quiet and we had plenty of space from other campers.

Only recommendation I would make is to have some natural light in the kitchen area and maybe a small amount of cutlery in case campers forget to bring their own.
I will definately book this site again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Liked: It was bliss, very torn about sharing this secret site with outsiders. I needed to change camp sites to a more access friendly one. What I found was this golden nugget. It's quiet, petit. Has a flushing toilet and a shower so not entirely roughing it. There is Mill pool which is idyllic. Handy extra building with a basic but very usable kitchen and large snug with log fire if needed. The site is clean I would say immaculate for a campsite. It's perfectly located in a slight valley so you won't loose your tent in a gale. The pitches are marked, and as its a an elite site plenty of room and no overcrowding. Located within a whisker of Painswick you are not far away from the local shop or local attractions such as the Rococo Gardens, Gloucester Cathedral (tell the kids some of Harry Potter was filmed there) to name but a few. I can even recommend cream tea at The Painswick Hotel which was absolutely delicious if you wanted to go out and eat. I am definitely coming back next year. I enjoyed every minute.

Liked: Friendly welcome, lovely tranquil quiet setting where lots of nature (bird and animals) abounds. Clean toilet and shower. Close to Painswick with good pubs and cafes.

Disliked: Only potential problem would be if the site was fully occupied (Glamping and tents) as there is only a single shower with toilet (although separate flushing fisherman loo in hut by the side). Could be improved by either Splitting toilet and shower or expanding the block but understand the cost implications for a small site. Not a criticism rather a suggestion for the future!

Liked: Most of all we loved the peace and surroundings of the beautiful countryside, precisely as we had hoped would be there. The owners are delightful, accommodating, informative and helpful. The location is excellent for walking and is very near to Painswick village with a couple of pubs, restaurants and a local convenience store for essentials.
The facilities are excellent for the number of on-site guests, and there was never an issue with availability.
We will certainly visit again at the earliest opportunity; looking forward to exploring more of the beautiful area of the Cotswolds.

Disliked: Nothing to say

Absolute gem of a campground, small and secluded with nice facilities and beautiful scenery. Hostess was lovely. Local village is picturesque, and has a good pub and a local premier shop.

Liked: What a great set up, we live locally but like many, our tent has been unused for a couple of years.
We chose this site because it allowed camp fires (mandatory for our bookings) the additional toilet and shower hut was a bonus.
The communal lodge was a great idea, especially if you have been exploring all day, or the weather turns.
There are 4 pitches so a nice friendly set up, the shepherd's hut and Lodge were also booked when we stayed, again nice to see those guests use the facilities.

The cows were very friendly

Easy access into Painswick and Stroud

I stayed in the Mill Pool Pod with my boyfriend last weekend. We had the most amazing time! The surrounding scenery of the campsite is beautiful- lots of greenery and some very friendly cows. The local village of Painswick is stunning- would recommend the Royal Oak for a pint and some lunch. We were provided with tea, coffee, and a small bottle of wine, as well as plenty of wood to keep our campfire burning. The perfect peaceful getaway!

Liked: Lovely tranquil site, the cabin a most welcome bonus, showers and toilets clean. Easy walk into the village if needed but if I’m honest I enjoyed the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, a perfect end to 10 day holiday.
